So who's captain next game when Bradley's sitting on the bench?

Well that sucked. So should the US write off this tournament now?

Everything went wrong. We were one goal away from a meltdown.

Well, not much here. Beat by Colombia. Not going to panic, but not happy. We'd better come out guns blazing against Costa Rica.

The defending was solid. The passes out of the back were not precise enough. But when passes from the back reached the forward players past midfield, they were not able to effectively combine or hold the ball and turn. Colombia barely looked pressured at all in the last 50 minutes of the match.

This was subpar, and fortunately the US will get two more chances.

Bradley was absolutely terrible. He's been bad for 2 years, honestly. Johnson did nothing and I'm tired of people making excuses for him. If he's so damn good he would actually make an impact.

Dempsey was the only frontline player to even show up, so anyone looking to rip him needs to check themselves. Nobody else came close
to scoring. Brooks was the only defender to play well.

I think we can agree that U.S. team needs to Bear Down just a bit.

Colombia played pretty poor and won 2-0. Bradley was crap, gotta win both games left. Back line was steady, Zardes held up decently. Jones still hates Klinsmann. Thats really about it, kinda felt like a 0-0 draw.

A few players underperformed. A few players were exposed as not good enough. Predictable. I expected a 3-0 loss.

Bradley Cameron and Yedlin all had their patented lapses.

Johnson doesn't know what his job is.

    Jones was a giveaway machine.

Dempsey is a liability if he isn't poaching or magic-ing.

Zardes was only bad, which is o much better than putrid, he looked good.

Wood needs to play a different position.

Um, quit practicing one touches down the flank and practice some set pieces. Learn who you are.

God I ********ing hate soccer sometimes.

EDIT: The corner kick goal we conceded was ********ing weak. Cameron was ok otherwise, but that was abysmal. Can't switch off as a CB.

The subs didn't get involved enough to get a grade, which isn't a good thing.

Jones was pissed at being subbed off (which is good to see), but he seemed to take it out quite hard on JK (which is not good).

Hey, at least it was a sellout.

    Bradley

...too old. We are a couple quality young players short here.

Bradley was the best player for Colombia on the field. As much a step behind I thought Jones looked, hard to say Nagbe was better. Dumb play by Yedlin, idiotic mistake by Cameron. Hate Johnson at left back.

It was garbage. It's going to continue to be garbage as long as a tactical nitwit is in charge. Honestly, I don't particularly care about this contrived cashgrab tournament. What I do care about is this has the look of a team which can definitely fail to qualify for the World Cup.

And the meltdown was only stopped by the crossbar.
