With a bit over a month to go, is it too soon to fret over another USMNT will go untelevised.....in a WC year? ESPN/2 seems to be out; which leaves:

    a. FSC
    b. PPV (i think the last canadian friendly was a setanta ppv)
    c. other
    d. UNTELEVISED !!!

When was the last time a game was untelevised? Looking at the 2005 schedule, naybe the two tuneups in March, but everything else was on TV somewhere. If it isn't on TV somewher, that's unusual.

I'm sure Fox will try and grab it for FSC/FSWC.

I'd be stunned if the game wasn't on ESPN, ESPN2, or FSC.

soccertv.com has just posted that the match will be televised LIVE on both ESPN2 and Telemundo at 2pm EST.

I don't see it anywhere on his site and none of the ESPN schedules I have looked at has it.

You're half right. Last March US-Colombia in Fullerton went untelevised. US-Honduras was aired on FSC Live.

Eh, I wouldn't be surprised if the game wasn't shown. Nothing concrete from USSF or FSC 12 days before hand doesn't make it look to good...

With all the big names not going to play in this game it doesn't surprise me at all that it is not shown. I think you will see less of the talented players and more of the younger players playing against Canada.

But by the same token, this could be the game where Freddy Adu gets his first cap (not saying it's going to happen, but the opportunity is there). I find it difficult to believe that if ESPN didn't want to show the game, FSC would pass up an opportunity to show another live USMNT game. They went to Scotland; I doubt the drive to San Diego would have been difficult.

....not looking good; US Soccer web went from TV being "TBA" to "None". FSC Schedules for 1/22 do not have it. Possible PPV or delayed coverage, but at this point...looks like NO TV.

I don't know about EVERY....but in a World Cup year they certainly should be.

I think then that we can rest assured that this won't be young Fred's first cap. Don't you think the USSF would make sure their is some TV coverage if it was??? Maybe against Norway, live on ESPN2...

NFC Championship Game is scheduled to start at 6:30 pm ET, United States-Canada scheduled for 8:00 pm ET so the football game will probably be at or close to halftime when the soccer game starts. The second half of the football game and the first/most of the second half of the soccer game will be going head to head with each other. So the answer is YES.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. But I guess if it's not on TV it doesn't really matter.

Yes, I'm quite sure the USSF forced Arena to divulge his lineup weeks in advance in order to make a decision regarding broadcasting this game. And I'm equally sure that Arena complied with this request happily. Then he and Dr. Bob went skipping down the garden path holding hands and singing folk songs.

I appreciate the sarcasm and I could be wrong, but I highly doubt that the USSF would let Freddy's first cap go unbroadcast...Even if it is Canada.
