Credit to Gregg for responding to the pressure and steadying the ship. However, his tactics haven’t changed dramatically since the WC and inviting pressure at the end of the match is going to cost us at some point.

Yes, we’re the only fan base that reacts negatively to a 5-1 home loss. Hopefully we can learn to see that as a positive like all other fans.
What about 1-0 win in 1998 Gold Cup semifinals? Only other result #USMNT got in 20 games against Brazil. It was very lucky. Here's SA's Report Card from game: https://t.co/XveyArNF2f pic.twitter.com/kQql6OcQ3V— Paul Kennedy (@pkedit) June 13, 2024
Nice thing about Copa America is games 1,2 and 4 will be in a dome. Uruguay in Kansas City is going to be inhumane levels of humidity.
A better performance. At times the players still looked nervous. It's too bad we couldn't capitalize on this Brazil's customary second half issues.

The thing about Berhalter is he’ll experiment and try things and they won’t work well, but when push comes to shove he actually has a decent pragmatic streak.
No 9 and while Brazil has never come across as a team that wants to play a bunch of passes they seemed particularly dribble prone today.
Helps as much because it's not a FB trying it or a CB trying a pass as anything else. Gregg has to realize he needs to play some ball progressers. Weston for whatever reason is not doing it, it must be instructions. Weston is trying to play like Adams IMO, but he's not Adams, at all.
Marinelli while not a 9, had that dynamism when he came on. Wouldn't be surprised if he plays a bit of that role going forward.
It’s going to be Endrick but he just may not quite be ready at 17. But he’s the next big Brazilian star.
Obviously, a much better performance and intensity level. However, it was a shame to give up a goal on one more turnover coming out of our Defensive end. Aside from that Mrs. Lincoln moment, Turner was excellent. For a change, we were somewhat dangerous on the break, although the last 20 minutes we were a bit too passive for my taste. We still lack the final ball on too many occasions. While we were very happy with Turner's saves in somewhat dangerous situations, we really need to score on what I thought were better chances. It is still concerning that after years in this system, we still can't create chances for our #9, whether it's Flo, Pepi, or Rumpelstiltskin. It's time to see what we do when the games count, though.
Brazil was clearly tired at that point but still impressive. Might as well practice it if we're going to commit to it I guess.
It’s not that we pass too much, it’s where we pass. Usually get it out wide and then they have to beat a man which usually turns into a cross. Musah beating a man in the middle opens up the midfield and means their defense will have to make commitments. You can do the same thing with passing the problem is we aren’t very good at it and focus too much on wing ‘verticality.’ That pass that Richards got a yellow on that got overturned is a pass we seem at times too passive to make.
