I'm still shaking. Bornstein stepped up. Bradley coached the right game.

Landon Donovan is the best American soccer player of all time.

Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. No one can say we didn't deserve that.

Group winners. I ********ing love it. I'll save real analysis for when I'm less jacked up.

My heart can't take anymore games like this, and I'm only 25.

Also, group C winners, most points in group stage since 1930, 7th ever WC win. :D

Awesome awesome game but Bradley did not coach the right game. Buddle should've started and a goal in the 90+ minute does not mean it was a brilliantly coached game.

WTF, man? Those two were better than anyone in the Anglophone world thought heading in, so give them their props.

Having said that...GROUP WINNERS. :D And with a relatively easier quarterfinal match-up awaiting us should we get past the Round of 16.

I now know the emotion that the guy crying in the stadium at the last game had. That has never happened to me before.

I know there was debate about the Beasley inclusion, but I think this was exactly the right situation for him to come in. Late game, needing to take chances.

Buddle didn't play well. Gomez was OK. The Feilhaber sub was great, the defensive shuffling worked as well as could be expected, the team played the right type of game and stayed mentally strong throughout. What more can the man do to please some of you guys?

I literally have tears coming down my face right now. The amount of pride I have for those players in South Africa is overwhelming. They represent EVERY F**CKING THING I stand for as an American. I couldn't be happier.

One small step for the US side, one giant leap for the country's interest and appreciation of the beautiful game. This match result is so powerful in so many ways!

Altidore and Cherundolo for me (probably should have had 1-2 assists today). DeMerit honorable mention.
