    USA v Wales

    Dear USA fans,

I write a Wales supporters magazine called 'the Dragon Has Landed' and would be grateful if some of you could send me your opinions and what you know about Wales and how the game will go including a score ?

Also if anyone has any funny stories of watching the USA as a supporter I would love to hear about them.

    Thanks
    Neil

Welcome Dragon. I tweaked the title a bit to let folks know you're looking for info. I'll copy to another forum, too.

    Howdy Dragon,
I publish the American soccer 'zine. Are you going to the game by any chance?

Here's a story re: my trip to Dublin last year

As far as Wales, most of us know Ryan Giggs, and many here get Fox Sports World which shows plenty of EPL games, meaning we get to see Gary Speed, Craig Bellamy, Robbie Savage and more.

We also know all about your jewel of a stadium. Spartan Stadium in San Jose is definitely not that!

    Feel free to contact me.

Andy pretty much covered what the average US soccer fan knows about the Welsh team, but you asked for predictions so I'll have one, 1-0 to the Yanks with a goal from DeMarcus Beasley.

Dragon, welcome aboard or should I say croseo!

As a fan of both sides I imagine a wide open affair between the teams. I imagine a 3-3 result: Mathis, McBride and Donovan for the US and Giggs, Hartson and Bellamy for Cymru.

Most American fans who follow the Premiership will know of the Welsh contingent, but probably not of any of the players from the Nationwide League or the League of Wales(if Hughes selects any truly Welsh based players, other than Earnshaw from Cardiff).

My take on the match will be how many Welsh ex-pats and Welsh-Americans will be in attendance. Sadly, this Welsh-American will be unable to attend, but I will be glued to the telly with a few pints ready.
