Couldn't agree more that the planning part is a big part of the allure of travel. See you in 50 days or so.
I looked up a couple of things on this. The website schedule for Route 62 has this note. Special Event Service Once road access is available, the Route 62 will provide special service to designated Colorado Rapids game days and additional events at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. There are no special event services scheduled at this time. So there could be special postgame runs if the transit district has its act together. No idea what "Once road access is available" means. I'm sure there is road access to DSG Park already. http://www3.rtd-denver.com/schedule...dId=2096&routeType=1&routeId=62&serviceType=3 Also Route 88 has late evening once-per-hour service that goes to 56th & Quebec or 60th & Monaco (each look like an equivalent walking distance if there's no diagonal shortcut to 56th). http://www3.rtd-denver.com/schedule...dId=2096&routeType=1&routeId=88&serviceType=3
Looking at the map it seems to be going up and around the stadium on a road that at least somewhat recently (I don't go to many Rapids games and when I do I usually only enter on the south side) was a dirt road. That whole area is getting built up at a rapid rate. It used to be the old airport.
Google satellite images show Central Park Blvd. under construction or non-existent north of I-70, but if Bus 62 is running every day until 6 pm, the road must be there by now?
The road is complete. The 88 bus is the same one I used in the past. I missed it on the RTD website today. Their system map is poor. Google Maps missed it also. The 62 bus is new to me. I find that schedule note odd.
Thanks. I got confused during my insomnia fueled public transit research. There is an available bus close to the stadium (#88), so we are all set.
More AO tix opened up today.. https://store.theamericanoutlaws.com/products/usmnt-v-trinidad-tobago-tickets
Shamless plug: For the Boulder crowd (yes, the better city vs Denver, but that's another topic...) Boulder Bus to game, sponsored by Oskar Blues and our local bar, reserve your seats today. https://www.facebook.com/events/833928986771497/?ti=as
I have to ask, are the people that go on these types of things the "******** yeah! 'Merica!" type of crowd? Cuz I'm not about that. I just like watching soccer and following the USMNT.
I live less than a mile from Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Stapleton. The Yanks will have a 10 day training camp that starts on Memorial Day, May 29th. Does anybody know what time of day they typically train? I'd like to ride my bike over and check out the sessions.
The Denver Post reported that training camp is in Commerce City, Not the Springs. http://www.denverpost.com/2017/04/17/us-soccer-train-altitude-for-world-cup-qualifier/
Ok, maybe I'm not crazy... mini camp in Denver for El Tri. "
Mini camp at rapids stadium. Its sunday, open to public, kindof. Rapids season ticket holders got access, not sure who else.
Recommendations on local breweries with full food menus near downtown Denver? I will have a car, so can travel a bit, too.
Wynkoop brewery is pretty sweet, great food too. You can also check out Great Divide brewing Company. Both in the Lower Downtown area that's full of bars and restaurants.
