The US men's team is scheduled to play Sweden in a friendly on January 19, 2008 in Carson at the Home Depot Center.

I think Phoenix should plan on bringing a Sam's Army Brigade once we have organized a bit.

I think that's an excellent idea. I'm in!

Thanks to Palermo10's heads up, I strongly suspect that MLS Phoenix Rising will be working to organize a roadtrip to this event in conjunction with Sam's Army.

And the following Monday is MLK day, so most people will have a 3-day weekend.

I'm very interested. But I think we should wear different colors than the usual Sam's Army Red--- something that lets folks know we support MLS in Phoenix.

    I disagree entirely.

If you want to show you support MLS in Phoenix, write a letter to Don Garber. Don't use a men's national team game to make a statement. I posted here so that USMNT fans that live in Phoenix (which would be the majority of the MLSPR people) could discuss a trip.

I agree, and I've said it many times...I think our SA/Supporters should be country-first. That is why I don't like seeing club jerseys in the SA section - you are there to support the National Team, not the club team. Just my 2-cents though.

If I can make it there, I'll be in Red, White & Blue!

If I can't make it there, I'll be somewhere watching in Red White & Blue!

That would be a fun trip. I unfortunately missed out on the Chivas trip. I'll be able to plan ahead (make sure nagzilla:D isn't working). I think red needs to be worn. To bad that the southwest brigade (or what ever its going to be called) wasn't up and running yet. Then we could have a shirt/scarf with Phoenix, or whatever on it, and they would know we are from this part of the country and we support soccer.

-Thanks for the link to the Sams-Army reorganization thread Palermo.

Don't give up hope just yet. There's still 3+ months left, so don't write off the possibilities you suggest. Scarves don't take that long to produce, we just need to start getting some ideas of what people want on them. Any suggestions for a design?

    FYI...

The US Supporters section is in section 138.

Click here to order tickets for the US v Sweden Game.

In the "Sam's Army Sales" section, select the quantity you want and enter "RED" into the Password box.

Well thats cool that they have it through Ticketmaster... except now we are getting slammed with Ticketmaster fees PER ticket. And there's no discount for a group rate in Sams Army, since they are the $25 corners. I dont know how I should feel about this.....

I'm personally feeling pretty excited that I've got tickets to see the USMNT again!

Alright, I'm PO'd about the huge fees too, but TM is the only place to get the tikcets for this game without paying scalper prices - unless you know someone in the FO of the USSF...which I may have connections, but I'd rather make sure I've got the tickets in-hand before I leave.

Damm, the Sam's Army website has nothing about this. They usually had some deals to get tickets.

I just downloaded the group ticket order form. 20=a group. The seat prices remain the same but there are no ticket fees.
By myself and my friends in SoCal, I have 6 commitments.
I haven't called about seating availability yet, but I'll be looking at the sideline ticket level($33).
I'm waiting (just a bit) to see if MLSPR will be organizing a roadtrip. At the least, getting 20 ticket buyers, not in the Sam's Army section, shouldn't be that hard, should it?

MLS Phoenix Rising has put out an e-mailer to its members to assess the interest in a roadtrip to the US/Sweden match in January at the Home Depot Center.

Check out the specifics at this MLSPR webpage.

    Fellow Fans,

My group is now up to 11. Looking for 9 more to avoid TM fees. Any takers?
Want to purchase after this weekend. Please let me know if interested either by posting here or private message.

Thats a pretty cool idea. I will probably forget, but I'll try to bring my camo shorts

If somebody wants to split gas with me, let me know. I will be leaving after work on Friday, and while you can't stay at my girlfriend's apartment, I can drop you off somewhere :) I'll be coming back Monday if you want a return trip too.

Gross, I had DCUs. I would not mind a Desert Brigade Banner, but I am there to support the USMNT. I will be wearing SAMs RED!
