Flock of Seagulls is Swedish? I have always hated them.

I'll have been looking forward to this one for weeks. I'll be bringing one or two other nutmeggers with me.

I didn't know where to put this but a great song that we could maybe start to learn is the chorus from "over there" old military song

    Over there, over there,
Send the word, send the word over there -
    That the Yanks are coming,
    The Yanks are coming,
    The drums rum-tumming
    Ev'rywhere.
    So prepare, say a pray'r,
Send the word, send the word to beware.
We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back till it's over
    Over there.

I know bro - it stinks! With no Bid i expected this - not the end of the world! Expect them now to start the baseball season and open Citi Field with no news either - that plus the economy - things went bad! Just a case of bad timing that none of us can do anything about! They have not turned around and said no though - so we all still have hope!

We still are doing things though and we still are doing what we can - and the Borough Boys will always be about the US though - We are Country over Club! Im sure you understand that!

Here in Italy there is before the club and after the National team and I hope that the BB group will be above all the group of fans of the NYCFC and so also of the USA team, of course.

Not to mention the endless shitstorm of negative public perception with Yankee Stadium and the taxpayer bill balloning on that project, and Citi's pending economic nosedive.

Good luck getting any public funding whatsoever on a stadium project even if this idea creeps back up again.

And to the guy earlier who said to hope to have a stadium like RBA someday in Queens, tell them they are going to have to spend big, our GM told us this stadium is costing well more than the last 3 MLS stadiums that opened combined. I have a feeling we wont ever see one like that anytime soon.

BTW- When did you start sporting the chin beard?

if Wilpon does build a stadium, he told us it will be of the
    same caliber as RedBull arena...
it's either all the way with him, or not at all....
that can be good and bad.

And why am I always drunk and wandering around somewhere when
you guys take these pictures.... i swear, i'm only in 1/4 of these pics..:D

Beard - i dunno - one day i was bored and tried it out!

As for the Stadium - you are right - with the baseball stadiums getting so much attention right now would not be a great time to say - hey - soccer stadium being built!

Ill tell you this - I THINK the couple of hundred million to build this arena mostly would be private. I wont tell you why I say that because I know you dont want to hear about our Meeting with Wilpon - Plus im tired of talking on BS about this - next time i see ya ask me and ill tell ya why I think that!

As for Public - infrastructure costs but with the train station getting redone with Citi Field and other infrastructure projects around the site being done already - i wonder how much would be needed for a new arena.

The Yankees are getting a lot more public funding righ now than the Mets - its being made public - When these deals were announced back in - geez when was it now - the city said - We Promise you Parity - meaning you get parking - they get parking - you get this - they get that. You think Wilpon would let them forget that? Nope - he wont!

But only time will tell! Honestly - dont expect to hear much on it until Citi Field opens up for now.

Public funding for the stadium is not going to happen, but there is a ton of money about to be injected into the economy for infrastructure projects. That, of course, can improve the chances of success for the stadium, making attracting investment a bit easier.

The other thing is the possibility of a Wilpon owned team is not the only possibility for MLS in NYC. All of our hopes do not lie there.

Finally, yes, Hiram Monserrate has been accused of hitting his girlfriend. He and his girlfriend deny it. I am pretty sure the DA's office will ultimately drop the case.

There is a special election for Hiram's seat next month. The favorite for that seat, Julissa Ferrerras, is a friend of the BBs.
