On Wednesday, March 31st the USA will be taking on Poland, looking for some revenge for our first round defeat in the last World Cup finals. Bruce Arena will be playing his Euro-based squad as they prepare for the first round of World Cup qualifying against Grenada Massive later this summer, while Poland is looking to get some practice in after missing out on the Euro2004 finals. All in all, it should be a competitive match that will hopefully spare us any announcer references to Danny Califf scoring goals with his sports bra. The game comes to you live from Plock, Poland at 1:30pm. So, blow off your job, take a long lunch and come hang with the ESC at Nathan Hale's Bar and Grill in downtown Manhattan for a live showing of the game. You can buy a 2004 membership, get some ESC gear, pick up a flyer for a Metro ticket package, and enjoy some of the drink specials on tap. If you need help getting to the bar, reply to this post or drag your eyeballs over to http://www.nathanhales.com/ for some more info. If you can't make the game live at 1:30pm, we will replay it at 7pm- just please do us a favor and keep the score to yourself. You can of course also get at 2004 ESC membership at the evening viewing. We will, in all likelihood, be back at Nathan Hale's on Wednesday April 28th for the USA- Mexico game live from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas at 7:30pm, but more details on that later in the month.
