Everybody. Richards & Ream let it bounce and did not attack it. Adams was boxing a guy out, assuming one of the CBs would get the ball. Freeman saw the problem and came to help, leaving the whole right side open. Paraguay controlled and played it to their left/our right and it was wide open.
Man South Africa was baaaaaaad Garbage bag performances like that are too be expected more frequently now with the expanded format though
I dunno. I think Paraguay are better than Canada without Davies and Canada outplayed Bosnia for 88 of the 90 minutes.
Weah was always subbing for Dest Zendejas and Gio when we're up 3-0 is unnecessary lol. Aaronson sure, I guess you can have a gripe with. I think Arfsten would have been my choice there but it worked out so whatever. Didnt Seb go to the midfield and Tillman went out wide?
83 - Chris Richards completed all 83 passes he attempted for the #USMNT against Paraguay, the most passes with a 100 percent accuracy rate by any player in a FIFA World Cup match since 1966.Perfection. pic.twitter.com/kTD2kmrrPa— OptaJack⚽️ (@OptaJack) June 13, 2026

It's ESPN. I'm not surprised it's complete ass. Do we think the person watched the game at all? How does Richards get a 5?
This man had an incredibly destabilizing effect on Paraguay's structure on and off the ball. there was an instance early when he came back to around the midfield line to try and receive the ball and I thought oh boy, I hope we're not getting hero ball Pulisic today and it ended up being the only time thankfully. His gravity today was next level. I thought he was playing like peak Neymar! World class 45 minutes from our boy
Another guy who elevated his transfer price tonight. I mean Balogun, Tillman, Freeman, and others. They served notice.
Re Berhalter sub: It definitely changed the tilt of the game for a bit but I think Poch saw where the game was heading physically and wanted someone up for the scrap if it came to it. If he gets a red it doesn't change as much tactically down the line AND he must be a monster in training so he deserved it. Well done Seb!!! Once we figured out how to get the ball back to Tillman on the wing we began to dominate again.
almost all of the espn ratings are head scratching. I challenge everyone to just read the ratings and think what the score was just based on those. you would never get four one
I think it was a “let’s keep this even” and keep the temperature down call. Not a bad one per se, but in another game that’s likely not a yellow.
Certainly one of the greatest nights in team history. Just about every player (maybe even every player) had a good match. Where were all the supposed unsold seats!
The player on the team with the largest dropoff to next man up. And at such an important position helping cover our shaky back line.
Villareal getting Freeman's transfer locked in prior to the World Cup was shrewd business on their part and unfortunate for Orlando
