Wow!!! Never seen the US play like this in the World Cup against an opponent that is usually very defensive and organized.

 

Any issues with Berhalter coming on for Pulisic? I’m thinking Brendan would have been the better sub there.

 

Tillman was very good in this match. He helped set the tone physically.

 

Well that put a big damn smile on my face.

 

Are we rolling out the same starting 11 vs Australia? I say yes.

 

Tactically, BA should have been the sub at 45. But Berhalter individually was pretty good by the end.

 

First goal was crucial. After that it was all easy.

 

Based on this performance, I assume Australia is gonna play Rugby League or Aussie Rules against Pulisic and company to stop the US from scoring.

Yeah. I thought Tillman fought and grinded all game. Loved playing him deep allowed Weston to play high where he is his best.

I’m surprised we didn’t sub on McKenzie or Trusty for Ream towards the end.

 

With better finishing we could have had 3 easily in the second half.

 

We saw the difference between Balogun and Pepi. Nobody deserves negativity after that performance but Pepi was sooo slow compared to Balogun. But that may just show how good Balogun is rather than any knock on Pepi.
