If we lose this, I hope our coach is fired. NZ should not have a stronger youth team than the US. If the NZ players turn out better than our boys, it is entirely unacceptable. This is the USA folks, not some tiny country in the middle of the ocean that has no soccer heritage. The youth system should be entirely overhauled if they can't produce a team that is able to beat NZ.

I think we need to stop accepting these poor youth tournament results. Look where Ghana is now after they won.

you do realize these are a bunch of 16-17 year old kids, stuff like this happens in youth tournaments. heck canada tied england 2-2 and the dutch crashed out of the group stage.

Indeed they did, on a 60 yard bomb by . . . the Canadian goalkeeper. Good to see that England's proud tradition of stellar 'keeping lives on.

I wonder if Koroma starts today. I would like see more of Nico Melo and it would be nice to see how good Jack McBean is too.

I'n My opiniOn it's a must win for Bradenton as well as wilmer. Not getting out of the group would definitely increase the pressure to end the academy. There going to need to start getting some kind of results if there going to keep it going and they just haven't.

this tournament reminds me a lot of the U-20s WC when it was here in the UAE back in 2003.... we beat Paraguay, then lost the next game to Germany and then won the last game and went all the way to the QFs... I hope it's a similar story here...

According to Wikipedia, the 3rd place team from our group now plays Japan in round 2, whereas the runner up plays Germany....

I guess let's try not to finish 2nd...
