I think this is actually a really cool location. Heard and seen about the great support Chattanooga FC receives and know those fans will be there to support the USMNT. Can't wait for the short trip up from Atlanta!
Lame re: turf. But could be more than offset by good attendance. Especially given the <10k the last few years for friendlies. will be MLS B team for the most part and good chance to see a few fringe players before the March Hex resumes.
AO tix. Love the grassy endline standing area.. Different, yes. Cool, yes. Interesting, yes. The Basics USMNT vs. Jamaica Date: Friday, February 3rd, 2017 Location: Finley Stadium (Chattanooga, TN) Time: 7 pm ET Price: $31 (members) / $34 (non-members) Section(s): Grassy Endline (standing room) General Admission: YES Purchase Code: "unite" TYPE: Print-at-home DEADLINE: first-come-first -served until sold out.
Hope this is a trend for US soccer. Play these games in different locations rather than hosting the same lame friendlies in the same stadium. We'll see how attendance plays out.
I moaned pretty loudly about JK, so I should probably support USSF with this one. I will be picking seats most likely to avoid the prevailing wind.
Can someone please offer a reasonable explanation for why there are seats currently on offer from Ticketmaster for anywhere from $100-650 per seat? This is an absolutely meaningless friendly with our team bringing a C team at best. The f'ing federation has absolutely lost the plot. If I'm running the show, this is a game where every ticket can be had for 35 dollars at most. Maybe the onfield seats are a premium for the idiots willing to shell out for a worthless folding chair that says US Soccer on it. How many tickets are going to be sold for this game? What's the over/under? 10K? Half full? I think something needs to drastically change in the economics of soccer in the world. This is the people's game. I hate sounding like an old crotchety man, but this is f'ing ridiculous.
There are tickets for $35 available right now. Maybe $28. Follow the link from US soccer to ticketmaster.
Yes, you sound like an old man. For sure. However, tickets are $30 bucks, extremely fair pricing. If people want to pay a premium for prime seats then how can anything be wrong with that. Buy your $30/seat and go enjoy the game.
Not bad.... "Chattanooga, you are incredible! More than 10,000 tickets for vs. have already been sold. Get yours while you can: http://ussoc.cr/2iQF7ZM"
Well, US Soccer's prices are $28-275, with the highest price for on-field seats, so I'm not sure why you're trying to buy tickets at such high prices. The highest resale price is $2649, which I'm not sure how someone thinks they'll make that money, but good for them. Honestly, the high resale values mean that there's a high demand for USMNT tix, which, idk, seems to be a good thing?
