NYC viewing for Us vs. Haiti?

Anyone getting together for this one since it wont be on cable?

I know Nevadas is showing it, is Nathan Hales?

Well i'd like to see this game too but i'd rather watch other games since the US will most likely rape Haiti. I really see no reason for this game but whatever rocks Arena's boat.

Also, this thread should've probably started in another forum... this is only for the Metros. Maybe a mod will move it there.

    Prediction:

    US 4 Haiti 0

    Peru y tu?

Is NevadaSmith's definitely paying for it on a weekend night at 8PM?

I'm tempted to go to a bar with HDnet just because the picture is pretty amazing. There's only one in NYC according to hd.net:

Umm,.. Why should it be moved? Where else to find out about local viewing in NYC than in a forum which is dedicated to local team fans, many of which are US fans (since we live in the US)?

It is listed on the www.nevadasmiths.net website (under fixtures), so I am assuming that is a yes. I will check that day to make sure.

    I will definitely be there..

The only bar in NYC showing the USA v. Haiti game on Saturday night is Nevada Smith's on 11th and 3rd.

The game starts at 8pm, and it will be on upstairs, no cover, on their main TVs.

You can visit them on the web at www.nevadasmiths.net

There will not be an ESC event or presence at Nevada's for the game, but if you want to hang and watch the game, that is the bar in NYC that is going to be showing the match.

Please email us at empiresc@verizon.net if you have any questions.

    Thanks.

The Celtic Corner in New Hyde Park claims to be showing the US =- Haiti game tomorrow night.

Celtic Corner is located at the corner of Hillside Ave and Lakeville Road, right next to the Blockbuster Video store.

I'm gonna try and call em up later to attempt to confirm. They do have Direct TV. So I assume it's just a matter of people show up or not.

I would like to apologize to the people who turned up at Nevada's.

They specifically lied and said that the US game was going to be on upstairs, and without a fee. Why they do that is beyond me, but a letter will be written to ask them about it.

Suffice to say, unless the game is not on anywhere else in the city (and even then...), there will be no ESC events at Nevada's.

I think writing a letter will help with getting this bullsh!t off your chest, but, obviously, these guys are twats at NS's. Why even bother with them AT ALL?!

No respect for people who could go there & happily spend $$$ in their place. Obvoiusly they don't need or want you there, or worse: they'll say anything to get you there, because you'll go to another "footie bar" (try the Red Lion on Bleeker).

What do they care? You buy a couple of drinks waiting for the situation to get straightened out. How many times has this very thing happened? I remember a while back Stinky had this problem. They pull this crap all the time & not just to you guys, I'm sure.

Is it possible for a bar to F|_|ck itself?

I am just curious, not that it makes it right, but how much were they charging?

It is a shame that they pull this kind of stuff. The manager/head bartender seesm like a good guy..
