    Here's the starting line-up:

    Howard

    Cherundolo – Onyewu – Bocanegra – Pearce

    Dempsey – Clark – Bradley – Beasley

    Johnson - Wolff

Boy, does that attacking duo up top just really put the fear of God into . . . well, someone. Certainly not the English defense, though.

This could be a long and dull match.

Not having Landycakes (or young Jozy)for this is frustrating .. it's only a friendly but you would still like to see the best you can field on this type of stage.

At least Baby Bradley will be on display

I can see Jozy playing at home vs Argentina and missing this and Spain next week.

Pretty much an A lineup for England, though I think Gerrard is playing out of position.

I'm about to change my prediction from 1-0 to 3-0. A 0-0 draw is the best we can hope for.

Makes sense not to showcase Jozy to a country where two Champions League caliber teams are showing interest in him. The same week when Bob is being quoted as needing to get USA players competing in the Champions League.

Ha-ha-ha-ha. Rooney - Defoe v. EJ - Wolff. Wow. Just wow. That's like Davidson taking on Kansas in the Elite Eight.

People don't give Davidson enough respect.

both in real life, and in this analogy.

(i'm looking for some KC Wizard magic from these US forwards today.)

this may POSSIBLY be a working stream once the match starts but I'm not sure, just trying to help out:

So what was the reason Jozy was not included today? I'm sure it was so he could play for NYRB but he came on in the 2nd half as a SUB on Sunday. WEAK

I'm sorry but Adu should start over the toothless Wolff. So much for all those that had Jaqua starting.

I give us no chance and we'll be lucky if we're not thrashed. Just once I'd like to see us field a team that has a chance of winning. I'd start ANYBODY over Wolff. 10-1 he gets the hook at half and we see Adu

Califf? I'm seeing him listed as starting on a couple of sites and I still don't believe it.

At least Davidson had Curry. We have the equivalent of the Rutger's women's team.

Where is the creativity and offensive threat going to come from?

Looks like we'll be playing bunker ball from the opening whistle.

    Ugh.

The least we can hope for is that these boys give a good account of themselves. There will be a lot of people watching, and I hope we can give them a good fight and avoid any embarrassment.
