Hey, is anyone heading up to this? I'm really interested in heading up, but not finding much support among my brethren here at home. Also we all live in NYC, and none of us have cars. I was looking into hopping a Fung Wah, but then the transportation from Boston to Gillette is almost non-existent (unless someone can tell me otherwise, I checked with a Revs fan, he may have lied to me. ) Anyone? Anyone?
No, it's pretty non-existent. Worse than Giants Stadium even. Maybe you can hitch a ride back from all the Sallies hanging out by the locla Dunkin Donut shop. I think because a) it's a weeknight and b) most of us who do this type of thing are doing either the U-20s or the Copa America and c)it's El Salvador and d)if any of us are taking a day that week, it's going to be the 11th to rest up from the epic DC Bus Trip, not many people are going from here. Saturday happens to be RBNY-KC, so there will be a country/club split there too. Now if we somehow play Mexico, all bets are off. If there are like four or five of you going, I would serioiusly look into renting a car for the day.
Furthermore - what's the TV sitch look like - the Gold Cup seems like a perfectly good excuse to go drinking at Stout.
Well, considering opportunities to go see the USMNT have been non-existent since pre-world cup friendlies, I really want to make this trek and be there to represent. I may have to steal my parents car or something, hehe. Oh well, just wanted to gauge interest. Would anyone who is in the area of NY/NJ be down to go if I had room for like 2-3 people? I hate to throw that out for a limited capacity car, but it'd be a shame to have that room and not be able to help out. Drop me a PM if so. What's the story on Copa America/U-20's?
I know that some ESCers will be in Montreal getting wasted and watching Jozy et al try to wreck shit up en francais. No Venezuela for me.
since there is no WYC or Copa for me, I do wanna support the USA as locally as posible in the Gold Cup. MDS will see whether it can join some people to Foxboro.
