You could start by not telling your team that the games don't matter. It mattered to Columbia.

    Another useless performance from Tillman.

Wonder how many people need to see from him until they realize he isn’t up to it.

Probably Iran. And that was by the skin of our teeth.

Yep. The talent level is actually pretty similar. It was not a talent gap that caused this result. Something else happened out there.

People were saying the same thing about Johnny 9 months ago, and Johnny is 9 months older than Tillman.

More of the same. There's really not anything new to say about this team.

Tactics don’t* try to force a team to play a style they’re not suited for.

Agreed. Johnny was very good. I also though Scally had a good game. The rest of the defense was bad really bad. Turner had a great save but everything else was shockingly awful.

I don't think he should be out of the picture permanently. But he's not responding with the current wait-for-him approach.

I don’t know. But we could change the coach and find out.

Not just hiding but refusing to go into difficult situations and test yourself and your mental fortitude. We play for money and thus schedule games as such. Refuse to do tournaments anywhere but to maximize income. We need to change GC and Nations League so they rotate. We need to do everything to get the Copa changed to the Americas start playing in S.America.

Agreed there, but we don’t really have many other options. He’s shown a lot at club level. It will translate eventually, but his minutes need to be limited now. Between MMA, Johnny, and Reyna, we have 5 good midfielders. We don’t need him to play more than spot minutes.

Our squad is waaay too comfortable with Berhalter. It’s like a damn church camp. We need a change.

Thought we were decent and a bit unlucky 1-60

60-90 with the subs was catastrophic

I'm not sure about Adams. Johnny seems to be able to be as effective in defending but he can also start the attack. He is a very good passer something Adams really struggles.

Shocking result to me. Yeah Colombia is good, but not 5-1 good vs. us.
I can't remember seeing this many defensive blunders from this team. Make no mistake- the players have to take responsibilty for their performance. But...
How (or why) can the team look this bad? Like, what are they doing in practice?? Greg is a defensive-minded coach... but then we see a Colombian stroll up to the spot and calmly take his goal. No one marked him. No one picked him up. Earlier, another one, with the ball at his feet, was allowed to calmly dribble the ball into the area, near the corner, and line up his shot (it went over the crossbar).
I'm not expecting drastic changes before Brasil; it's only 3 days away. But i do hope Gregg shakes things up before the tournament starts. And i'm not thinking of personnel - though we really could have used Adams today. I'm thinking of how Greg runs his practices, what he expects from his players, and what happens when said players don't meet his expectatons.

It won't happen. USSF embraces mediocrity, and too many fans do as well.

He's nowhere near defender that Adams is. But still a very nice player. He makes all the right little passes. And he can hit the longer ones too.

God, no. That's like the one option that's worse than Berhalter.

Dest allowed for their deficiences to be camouflaged. We're finding out how important Dest is to this team.
