Francisco of Aztec Sol has committed to putting the game on the big projection screen and will not be charging a cover for this game. The full menu and bar will be available, so bing your appetite!

Over 20 people have contacted me indicating that that they'd like to attend, so let's all make sure to get out on Saturday and support Team USA at Denver's most soccer-friendly bar.

They're not charging a cover?

Given that a single PPV soccer game for restaurants can cost the establishment hundreds of dollars, I'd say anyone who can get there needs to order, and order big. And tip big, too.

It's kind of a hole in the wall, but it's a good soccer bar. They have jerseys of all different soccer teams hanging from the ceiling, a nice big projection screen, and booze. What else do you need?

I apologize in advance for harping on this issue, but here goes:

Who the hell actually put this thing together? Greenie, did you call and make arrangements with Aztec Sol or did the Rapids? Or did Aztec Sol call the Rapids?

Here is a part of the e-mail sent out:"REMINDER: RAPIDS TO HOST USA vs CANADA VIEWING PARTY TOMORROW NIGHT
The Colorado Rapids are holding a special Team USA viewing party this
Saturday for Colorado's soccer fans. Come out and watch the Rapids'
    own
Pablo Mastroeni and the US Men's National Team as they take on North
    American rival Canada!

WHAT: USA v. Canada Viewing Party, live from Ft. Lauderdale
WHEN: Tomorrow, Saturday, January 18. Kickoff is at 5:30pm MT
WHERE: Aztec Sol, located on 32nd, 2 blocks east of Zuni in West Denver

This game is only being broadcast on Pay-Per-View, but our friends at
Aztec Sol will be showing the game FREE of charge for Rapids fans!

Please call (303) 299-1599 with questions about the viewing party,
otherwise we will see you at Aztec Sol on Saturday!

So the Rapids are now hosting this? I don't get it. If the Rapids are piggybacking on greenies work, then shame on the Rapids and I hope they issue an apology for this lame tactic.

Without wanting to speak for anybody *if I have this right* Greenie did the majority of the leg work for us and the Rapids helped to spread the word, but I may be wrong...

If that is the case, they sure seem fast to take the credit.

I guess I don't see the spreading the word part because they surf bigsoccer.com looking for the infromation? We all knew about it before the e-mails went out to us.

And your complaints about this are better than Zar's beef with the colors how?
Hmm, "Lets just be happy we have a team." well "Let's just be happy we're watching a pay-per-view for free."
    And that's that Biatch.

Hey, a variety of people did leg work. If the Rapidfire mailing results in 5 or 10 more people coming to Aztec Sol, then it really doesn't matter where this originated.

Props to everyone who did leg work and those who helped spread the word. We're bringing six friends and a baby (we're determined to make her into a little soccer girl). See y'all there!
