Kinda unusual that the halftime show is Sara Walsh, DaMarcus Beasley, and Julie Foudy talking while standing on the sideline. No studio for HBOMax?
The best... no, top 2 yes. Vasquez has been the best player so far, Slonina and Cowell right behind, followed by Morris and Zendejas and Gressel
Yeah tough to argue with goals, Cowell has been very involved though, which is good to see. Gaga has been good too, dude looks like he’s 12 lol
I think its just everyones getting older so people look younger lmao. He looks his age to me at least. Cade is very involved he's playing extremely well, like a professional should. Could be he just had a (Shocker) shit ass coach, and shit ass players around here, and plays better with better guys... shocker. I'm very happy with Cade Cowell, Brandon Vasquez, Aidin Morris and Gaga today so far.
I keep saying don't sleep on Cade! Morris had some nice composed moments in the ball, but man he made some bad decisions against the ball. Just a little naive running after the ball, vacating the middle of the field.
I don’t think anyone learns anything technical from Shea….maybe how to be good teammate and have good professional work habits….but technical no. But you have to credit Matias for improving Shea’s game…he rarely cut inside before and when he did he looked like a deer in headlights. Under Almeyda, he looked more balanced, less predictable with better decision making…he used to just push the ball down the line. If anything Cade is soaking it in from training with the other quality forwards in camp.
I've seen this story before come out 2nd half and look bad... my head hurts and i've lost interest in this game lol. ESPECIALLY after the commentator on Peacock said "Walker Zimmerman is the best CB the US ever had"
Aww COWELL almost with his 1st senior team goal.. Very very impressive. He's gonna get one i know it GOD DOUBLE POST
If Cowell plays like this into the season I like our chances ever more. Just gotta replace shit ******** Jebo
A Quake fan's favorite fantasy: one of our players finally performs well enough that he can leave our bottom-feeder team
I beg to differ on that. I’ve seen some pros mimic their teammates, I doubt it’s conscious, but I’ve also noticed that the mimicry stops after the originating player leaves the team. E.g.: Shea cut in from the left exactly like Darren Huckerby Remember when Alan Gordon got an assist for USMNT at Mexico City? He hit this lofting ball over the backline exactly like Marvin Chavez Wondo and a couple other guys started hitting down on the ball, skipping it into the goal like Simon Dawkins The game at the Oakland Coliseum, I sat directly behind David Beckham while he took a free kick. Later on, I saw Landon kick it exactly the same way. Remember how Magnus used to fall down when someone was on his back, and draw a foul? I forget who else started doing the exact same motion.
No offense, but that’s actually the opposite of my Earthquakes fan favorite fantasy: I want our players performing well enough to stay and collectively bring success to the San Jose Earthquakes, its city and its fanbase. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! GO USA!!! -G
