There is not a player in this roster, who didn't fight, battle and over-acheive thereby driving themselves into position with their club teams and with the U.S. national team. These guys are WARRIORS!
This is scary how these individual players are the hardest working soldiers fighting each time they get on the field. Good job Bruce Arena!!!

(except for Jovan K. he is not a WARRIOR)

Goalkeepers (3): Joe Cannon (RC Lens), Tim Howard (MetroStars), Marcus Hahnemann (Reading FC)

Defenders (7): Gregg Berhalter (Energie Cottbus), Carlos Bocanegra (Chicago Fire), Dan Califf (Los Angeles Galaxy), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Frankie Hejduk (Columbus Crew), Eddie Pope (MetroStars), Greg Vanney (FC Bastia)

Midfielders (9): Chris Armas (Chicago Fire), DaMarcus Beasley (Chicago Fire), Bobby Convey (D.C. United), Jovan Kirovski Birmingham City), Chris Klein (Kansas City Wizards), Eddie Lewis (Preston North End), Kyle Martino (Columbus Crew), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids), Earnie Stewart (D.C. United)

Forwards (4): Jeff Cunningham (Columbus Crew), Landon Donovan (San Jose Earthquakes), Clint Mathis (MetroStars), Taylor Twellman (New England Revolution)

Alternates (4): Nick Garcia (Kansas City Wizards), Cory Gibbs (FC St. Pauli), Richard Mulrooney (San Jose Earthquakes), Steve Ralston (New England Revolution).

Concur, absolutely ('cept for the bit about Jovan). This is a kick-ass team. I wasn't even this pumped about our WC '02 team. Stevie C is going to light it up, Eddie Lewis is going to prove to be the ingredient missing when we play a MLS-only squad... This is going to be a fun summer!

A classic. Hopelessly dated at this point, but probably just as classic. James Remar's been playing Ajax for almost 25 years now. Talk about typecasting.

Remar and David Patrick Kelly are also in Walter Hill's "48 Hours" and Kelly even plays a charcter with the same name, Luther.

This is for your own good, otherwise your gonna end up being mocked forever and you'll have to get a new screen name. Just to let you know. Jeff Cunningham has already been capped by the US any number of times. He's cap-tied to the US and is an American citizen

My college roommate used to think the line "The bitches are packin!" was the funniest line in the history of movie making and would usually repeat it about ten times when he got drunk and had a good laugh by himself.

It is nice to see that Martino made it. This should be a very good squad.

LOL...That is the coooooooooooooolest movie. Afros and bell bottoms in full effect! I gotta rent that one day cause I haven't seen it in so long. But man it does make you feel old to think about it!

Did anyone see Shaq quote the "Can U Dig It" part in one of the Lakers celebration parades? It was pretty funny.

Yeah, I was very excited for some reason when I saw this squad as well. It looks like a very competitive team and I'm really glad that Hahnemann is being included and will break his Nat Camp cherry. We look pretty solid and I think we'll be able to pull off some good results, especially against Brazil's 'weakened' squad (if you can ever say that about Brazil). I was more worried that we were gonna see a team like the one Bruce had out there against Wales!

Just for you information he has not always been capped

Earned his first cap in a 1-0 loss to Korea on Dec. 9, 2001, after receiving his U.S. citizenship following the 2001 MLS season

OH and for your information at one time there was a question as to wether Jeff or even Chris Armas were eligible to play for US soccer

Don't listen to him Leighs babe - Welcome to BigSoccer if no one has welcomed you yet. FYI, the grey "quote" button in the corner of each post will let you reply to what a particular poster says.

FYI, Cunningham has been capped by Jamaica a couple of times, but he never played in an official FIFA sanctioned match so I don't believe there was any question about his eligibility. It wasn't so clear in Armas' case, as he played for Puerto Rico and it was unclear whether the matches he played in were FIFA-sanctioned.
