    works now,

Freddy Adu, a 13-year-old from Ghana who received a United States passport earlier this month, has become the youngest football player ever named to a US team for an international competition.
The gifted teen striker will play for the US under-17 squad which begins world championship regional qualifying March 5 in Guatemala.
Adu has been eyed by talent scouts around the world for several years, even receiving an offer to sign with Italy's Inter Milan at age 11.
Adu's family relocated from Ghana to suburban Washington five years ago.

I copied and pasted it into my browser and that may be why it didn't work.

You're getting the hang of this. Welcome to BigSoccer.

BTW, I saw Freddy Adu today in New York City. He shot a spiderweb from his wrist and went on to swing from building to building, all the while showing deft touch with the ball. His only weakness is kryptonite.

The new SI has another Adu Article. Not online yet.
Says MLS was already approached to sign him but the league wants to wait. Perhaps 'til next season, I guess.

poor kid...with his talent he'll never have to work, he'll never wonder how he's going to pay his bills, he'll be able to play a game for his job and will make millions of dollars. :)

I remember thinking when I was thirteen, "I'm glad I have no skills that will send me around the world and get paid major monies just to play soccer..."

I saved myself from getting robbed by the red, white and blue. (Is that France or the Netherlands?)

I was walkin down the street and saw Freddy walking towards me, I was gonna say hi, but just then somethin like 500 ninjas jumped out and attacked Freddy, and Freddy was like POW, BAM, ZAP, and when the dust cleared, all the ninjas were dead. Then Freddy turned into a robot and flew away.

    True story.
