Oh... Not worried at all. Excited. There is nothing like watching this stuff come together to get me marking off days on my new US Soccer calandar. -G-
This may be a really dumb comment, but when do SA/AO get their tickets from USSF? Do they know how many tickets they are allowed to sell? This may give us a clue as to where the seats for this match will be. Also wouldn't we want to sit with the Crew season ticket holders, thus taking up the entire end of the stadium? -G-
I bought a SA match ticket. I'm staying at the hyatt by civic center. I'll see you all for the pre-game drink-a-thon and post-game VICTORY PARTY!
I'm hoping the nordecke is entirely comprised of AO/SA/Crew supporters and the mExicans get the stage area. Having all three US groups on one end would rule, unlike last time when the mExicans were right next to the US supporters groups. Frankly, if there are mExicans in the US area we need to kindly ask security to usher them elsewhere. It's absolute BS that mExicans sit in a US supporters section, no matter how casual. I'm NOT advocating any force, just that they be moved to an area, even one row outside the US supporters section for their own safety. (although having been to these US/mExico matches before, no mExican would ever be in danger of anything, it's just the principle.)
Did anyone notice that Ives posted ticket information on his blog yesterday but then took it down quickly. I don't think he realized this was a private presale. I'm glad he got the message.
I'm still trying to figure out what game some of you guys were at in 05? Some of your comments about last time don't seen to jive with reality or at least give the impression of something else. There were Mexicans but it was overwhelmingly us and they were scattered around the stadium so to say they were next to us, as a point of discussion and is if they had real section of their own, seems odd. Also, basically the entire north end was ours last time. I don't see why that would not be the case this time. What I want to know is why you want the Mexican fans on the stage if you don't want them next to us? The Nordecke is next to the stage. Also, if we take the stage, with that overhang, we will be a LOT louder.
There should be no "section" for Mexican fans. The few that get tickets should be scattered across the stadium as has been the last two CCS US vs. Mexico WCQ's.
You're right, I was getting turned around in my directions. However almost all of 134 was filled with mExican's in 2005. It was right next to the US supporters section and was annoying as hell. I'm down with the no mExican section and no mExican fans allowed in the US section.
So is the normal Nordeke section not the section where supporters are sitting? I think its section 141 or something like that? What Sections do AO and SA have?
So far all we've been told is the north end. Also, there is word that they will be putting bleachers on the stage.
US Soccer confirmed tonight that the tickets being distributed by Sam's Army will be on bleachers on the stage. I'm assuming the same is true for the American Outlaws. I received this info from the Sam's Army rep handling their tickets.
Is the stage area the same location that SA was in 4 years ago? I know we were behind one of the goals, but I can't remember if it was the north or south end.
So.. how big of bleachers are we probably looking at? sounds iffy. I assume the bleachers are going to be set up ontop of the stage? any pics of something like this done before?
