Is anyone going anywhere to watch some of the other international matches (like England vs. Spain) before heading over to the stadium? Do any of the locals know of a pub near Glendale that has FSC?
It's not withing walking distance to the stadium, but in the Peoria are, the Fox and Hound has FSC. It's just like a 5 minute drive on the freeway to the UoP from there. However I keep hearing about this Yard place, I've never been there because it's new. I'll find out and re-post!
OK, just got off the phone with the Yard House, first off the hostess sounds HOT!!!!!! anyway she informed me that they DO have Fox Soccer Channel, now she didn't seem to brilliant, but I hope she was right. she informed me that the Yard house opens at 4 pm. They're parking lot is open all the time and they won't mind if you park there, walk to the UoP and come back after the game. To enter you must use the entrance off of Glendale avenue and 91st ave or something like that. It's right next to the AMC movie theater.
I'll be watching the internationals on my friends phone, courtesy of his slingbox. I think everyone should get to the parking lot as early as they can so that we can have a good pre-game presence. Besides, if those places don't open until 4, the games will be over by then.
Or at least at half-time.... maybe somebody should call them and convince them it's in their best interest to open at 2.
The Yard House is the place to go! Over 100 beers on tap. Food is excellent. Get there early, it will be packed!
I've been to the Yard House and it's a grand place for beer lovers. They give much respect to good, fresh beer. I'm buyin' for any cool 'Nats fans within range, so see you there everybody! Oh, and WELCOME to all our brethren from around the USA who are flying/driving in for the real Super Bowl.
This is only my second USMNT match, the last one was in 2004 against Denmark. Not a lot of folks at that one, so this should be exciting. I won't have to drive five hours this time either.

YAAAAYY!!! One more day woooohoooooo! can't wait!
