    USA/Mex bumped for NHL?????

I was watching a bit of the Canuck/Wild hockey game a few minutes ago, and the announcer said if Minnesota wins, game 7 of the series will be played tomorrow night airing on ESPN2!!! I am hoping I misheard this, but can anyone give any info if this might happen, and where they may bump the Nats game??????? Someone please tell me I heard wrong.

where is the game at? If it's in Vancouver it probably wouldn't start until 10 or so eastern time which would leave enough time for both games

you know this is *why* the game is being on live... instead of being tape delay... as it had originally been scheduled

vancouver is doing their home match in their prime time hour... so the two timeslots flipflopped

i'll admit that i didn't know at first... but i did ask the question when the move to live occurred and got the answer

Off topic question for one of you hockey fans. Why do they call it the "national" hockey league when it is "international"?

Because when the NHL started back in 1917, all six teams in the league were Canadian. At the time, it was a national hockey league - a Canadian national hockey league. The first American team, the Boston Bruins, joined the NHL in 1923. The NHL just decided to keep the name even though it wasn't Canadian anymore, just like the NBA is still the National Basketball Association even though it includes Canadian teams now.
