    Does anyone know what the overnight was for that game? A Soccernet article said it was a USA soccer record, but im not sure. If anyone has info let me know, but ill try to find some info

    pretty good, probably not a record im betting, some WC final probably was higher.

    Based on a press release I saw that was copied elsewhere, the France-Brazil final in '98 got a 7.0.

    Thanks for these threads, btw. On another forum I've been using the information to engage in a discussion with some anti-soccer folks about how popular the World Cup is, and after two weeks of fighting, I now have one of them IMing with me criticizing Pope for his coverage on the set piece that led to Italy's goal. :)

    Mission accomplished.
