Ok guys (and girls.) We've got a huge task in front of us. US Soccer gave us THREE sections to fill. That's as many as we had against Mexico. (About 1300 seats.) http://www.ussoccer.com/templates/includes/misc_pdfs/SamsArmy_Columbus.pdf $25 for the Grenada game $35 for the Jamaica/Haiti game And, if we fill them both, perhaps we can have BOTH the Big Ass Flag AND the Baby Ass Flag. I'm sure the rattler and others will make the trip too.
Thanks for the info & link, Kryptonite. I will DEFINITELY be in Columbus for the Jamaica/Haiti match in November. Could be VERY important so, hopefully, we'll have a HUGE turnout for our boys!!! This will be my second USMNT trip to Columbus with my first one being the famous WCQ win over Mexico on a FRIGID night in February 2001. OH, what memories!! GO, USA!!!!!!
This game might seem unimportant, but it's games like these that get Columbus (and our home-field advantage) the big games. We're looking to repeat the atmosphere. Hopefully soon i'll list the drum/flag/banner policy so people can have adequate time to create/collect them. We need every square inch of stadium covered in red white and blue!
And the policy is unchanged. Bring your flags, banners, etc. There's plenty of room to hang them up. Make sure you bring tape, string, etc. if you need it, as none is guaranteed.
Kryptonite, Do you know who is the contact at CCS is for the application form? Brandon Wilmoth? I'm cheap you see and would rather just drive the nine blocks from my place to CCS rather than send it through the mail. thanks
Ding! They're all on the same quasi-general admission policy. You can stand in 137, even though your ticket might say 138, etc. Contact Brandon. He may not be the right person, but he'll get you in touch with whoever is.
I'm bringing two other friends. However, the pre-sale is apparently only if you want to purchase tickets for both Grenada and Haiti/Jamaica (please correct me if I'm reading this wrong.) A mid-week trip from Boston to Columbus isn't feasible, but we're definitely sitting in the end zone when single game tickets are available. Anybody hear/read otherwise on the ticket sales?
You can only buy single games (or both) for C-bus right now through the supporters ticket link here: http://www.sams-army.com/index.php?Mlist=event&Mid=58 and at ussoccerfan.com Enjoy, Bd
oooh, and as someone just reminded me its just supporter tickets at Sa.com at this time for that deal, not ussoccerfan.com. Bd
I will be sending in my form tomorrow... Does anyone know when the tickets would be mailed or are they held at will call??
I don't know. I'd imagine they're sent, if you order before such-and-such date. (that's the way it usually goes down.) Especially since you have to provide a mailing address.
Quick reminder, ticket pre-sale ends on May 11th (Tuesday). Tickets cost $25 for the Grenada match, and there is a package deal available if you want to also get tickets to the home qualifier in November (should the US advance). There is an order form in PDF format right here. Full details for this game and surrounding activites are being posted on this website. Please distribute this note as widely as possible, to any supporter of US Soccer interested in standing with Sam's Army.
Sent in my order a couple weeks ago for the Grenada match, can't wait! My brother and I are going to drive down from Cleveland for the game. I'd like to get tickets for the latter match too, but being at college, scheduling is too tough to predict. I'm pumped already and it's still a month away!
I missed the pre-sale (other things happening in my life that I just forgot and wasn't sure about having the $ to attend). Public sale starts today at 10am.
Just chased up my SA tkts with the Crew office and they siad they'll be going out this week. Anyone have any idea of the expected attendance for this match, as well as numbers for the SA section? Any chance of a sellout?
I spoke to someone at the fed on may 4th or so. As of then, only 100 tickets had been sold, but he said he expected 300-400 on match day.
I'm planning on getting some tickets to the Grenada game. I called some of my friends from State who are soccer fans to see if any of them want to go. Of all of them, I think between 2-5 will want to/be able to come as well. How long do you think it would be safe to wait and still get some decent tickets (if it's not too late already)? Like someone said, I would hope there is a sellout, but I doubt there will be, so I'm kinda not too worried about getting the tickets ordered for a few weeks or so, in order for me and my friends to work out exactaly who's going, how we are going to get down there, and what not (Columbus is about a 5 hour drive). I've never been to a big time soccer game before (mainly cuz there's no big time teams/events going on in Michigan...) so I was wondering about the seating: -Are the 'endline' seats any good? They are the cheapest, so naturally (being poor college students) we were planning on getting those, but we're (or at least I am) willing to spend the extra 10 or 20 bucks to get corner/midfield if those are a lot better. Thanks in advance. GO USA!
Re: USA games in Columbus (Grenada) 6/12 Pickup anyone ? *Saturday Supporters Pickup Match: Saturday, June 12th, 2pm sharp. Ohio State athletic fields in THIS GENERAL AREA: http://www.sams-army.com/submissions\2004\05/towers.jpg And a more WIDER CAMPUS MAP HERE. http://www.osu.edu/map/ Bring your cleats, all are welcome. Rain or shine.
Obviously, the sooner the better, but there's not a bad seat in CCS. Even if you're at one end, you can still have a decent view of the other end. Like I said, there's no bad seat. The corners are nice as well. If you ask, you might be able to get seat in the corner, right next to a sideline section. That way, you're almost getting sideline seats, but for corner pricing.
My check for the Jamaica/Haiti WCQ has cleared & I CAN'T WAIT for November 17!!! Anybody know when they might mail the tixs for the November WCQ???
