Alright I'm back and ready to get something organized here.

From what I've seen, 3x5 USA flags are cheap and available by the dozens.
I can do a purchase of about 100 flags and per person if people were willing to buy them, it would be $5 or $5.50, and that includes shipping.

But... 3x5s are not that big.... especially if we are trying to make an impression. So I did some looking around, but as soon as you want to go up to 4x6 or 5x8, the price jumps some $20 to about $25-$30.

I did find some 5x10 and 6x10 for about $40 also.

3x5 I guess wouldn't be that bad if there were 100 of them, but it would also be nice to rock some large ones. They are just rather expensive.

So I need some opinions... fill out the poll please.

    Thanks!

I voted 3x5 just because of the price.

My second choice would be 6x10 or larger, it is bigger than the 5x8 for not to much more cost. Id like to find a cheap 6x10 flag. I just dont got 40 bucks right now

What type of material are the flags, i would like to get one made of cloth, all i see at local stores are made of nylon. I ended up getting one for 19$ 6X4 at Home Depo, looks nice. CLoth just drapes better i think.

It's really a once in a long time purchase, so you might as well go for the biggest one.

Although, if every person had a 3x5 flag, it would look really cool too.

As long as the stadium is covered with red, white and blue it doesn't really matter.

    Once in a long time???

I buy a 3x5 for every US game I attend. I write on the end seam the opponent, score, date, etc.

Yes that's one I saw and it sounds really good. The only thing is that I would have to find 100 buyers!!

It is also a possibility to buy 4 and put them together, 6x10 flag for about $20.

They are whatever the cheapest material is, everything else is more expensive.

What's the size that everyone drapes across their back? 5 x 10 maybe? I'm just curious.

No, that would be too big for anyone but Andre the Giant. The flag is typically draped lengthwise from the shoulder, so a flag that's 10 feet long would drag on the ground if you wrapped it around your shoulders. A 3X5 is good for that.

Ah ok thanks! Kinda off topic, but I hate when people let the flag drag on the ground from their shoulders. It's good that I won't be one of those people.

That flag is absurd... in a good way. Shipping is about $50 though.

I dont know if you would have to spend a lot of money to fix it up, after all it is so large...

Somebody on here needs to buy it. Maybe I will start a separate thread to advertise it.

I just don't have that sort of money or I'd be all over it.

    Awesome! I'll look for it.

Will it be the biggest US flag that anyone knows of at the match??

All things considered, I think buying the smaller flags is a better idea at this point than a really big one. We already have the 30 x 60 flag which will be at every home qualifier, the big Rattler flag and now we also have the 50 state flag. On top of that I have the 20 x 30 flag that was in Mexico City and is mainly used for road games. We've tried a few times to get it up and moving through the crowd at home games but it just doesn't work with our crowds. While buying another big flag for backup or as extra is never a bad idea, I think the money could be better spent on smaller flags of various sizes to hang mismatched, horizontal, vertical, etc to make more a visual impact around the whole stadium.

The only problem being... would I be able to sell 100 flags?

I would probably hang onto 10, and sell to my friends, but that still leaves 90 that I would have to get rid of.

I was thinking more along the lines of a group buy where everyone from here just contribute $5, $10 and then WE all own the flags and the flags go to every game and we'll blanket the railings with flags

Not a bad option... It just kind of takes away from physically contributing at the matches.

But your idea is good for those of us who don't make a lot of matches...

If you guys are still subscribed to this thread, I have over 100 USA flags to sell.

They are 3x5, polyester, great for taking to games, draping around you. I have one hanging on my wall that I am bringing to Germany - well actually I'm bringing about 10, for the European friendlies as well.

Shoot me a PM and we can arrange some bulk sales.

man i'd love to buy about 15 of these flags because I'm bringing 15 friends to the Norway game in january. Its hard though cause i'm only fifteen . I'll see what kind of christmas money I get  It sounds like an awesome idea to have as many people as we can with flags . At the USA- Costa rica match in SLC there was an ok amount but less than we want .
