What's crappy about it? Canada is playing great and giving us the business. The US being dominated does not make it a crappy game.
He has had 2 great saves today that could have both easily been goals. So, not the first good thing he has done.
The fall off in attacking quality of our outside backs from Dest and Jedi to "the rest" is cliff-like.
Canada has a freak at CB, LB and tons of speed/toughness/skill at the forward positions. We have slow CB/FBs that can't pass out of the back and our "difference makers" up front are getting owned. CP should have equalized... but that was one chance in 35 minutes. Canada could have 3 by now. We are just not very good IMO.
Seems like he set up the team "to be brave" and try to play out of the back exclusively. Could be coming from Poch for all we know though since he likes to play that way. In any event, it sets up perfectly for an amped up Canada. Reminds me of that forgetful friendly against Mexico towards the beginning of last cycle.
Can a group of players appear any less prepared against a manager whose tactics they should know exactly what they will be?
To have the tournament they had in the summer, and then come here and play worse, is embarrassing for not just the players, but for the entire Federation. Friendly or not, they know what the perception of fans and media are of them in this moment. To come out and look rudderless, uninterested, uninspired, and spineless is troubling. Poch has a HUGE job on his hands.
pending a better look the first looked a lot like the defender breaking it up. you all like him just as much as you want, though.
