Hey all, I just recieved some information on our youth in europe and thought I would post it with you. For one I heard that Jay Denny is getting looked at from big time premiership clubs and that they are trying to buy or do something to get him away from stoke city. Another source also told me Brian Carhart has been in France on a number of different trials and I hear that he is on the vurge of getting either a france or irish passport. Someone from Robbie Rogers PDL team told me that he is suppossed to be going to Germany in the fall to train with Bayern. If anyone else has heard anything else on these three i would appreciate it.
Welcome to Bigsoccer. I moved the thread to Yanks Abroad because those who will see it here most likley will be able to better answer your questions.
Who is Brain Carhart? how old is he? So this is going to be the third trial Rogers has had Bayern Munich?
Remember that Robbie can't sign with a club in Europe until he's 18. Obviously Robbie has the advantage of having the ultimate piece of clout an American can have with regards to German football.
Clout????????? One - Is Robbie blond? Two - Is he great at diving in the box? (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) Three - Does he sells pretzels for profit to desperate North Londoners yearning for the good old days? Four - Does he drink Spatan? Five - Does he drive a BMer? Six - Does he love Sauerbraten? Which apply?????????
it may be a little more than that. i think he's a klinsmann trainee, protege, client...not sure what the proper word(s) should be.
Are you referring to Brian Clarhaut? He posted on here occassionally. I just googled him and according to Top Drawer Soccer, he's committed to play for St. Peter's College. Edit: Hmmmm...ChrisE and I think an awful lot alike.
That must be him. I wonder if this kid has any caps with any of the youth national teams. He has been linked up with Paris St. Germain. Does anyone know.
As posted earlier it seems that Jay Denny decided to go with Stoke City and since he is 18 sighned a contract with him. Well done. Maybe Dave can give us a little more information on Clarhaut, and what his situation is as well as Rogers. I was talking to a coach yesterda who has seen Clarhaut play and says he is reminds him of a bergkamp type player. Hopefully Dave can help us out here.
Since either Dave Marino-Nachison is on vacation or really bust, I have not been able to find too much other information on Clarhaut. Since I live in So Cal I see Rogers play a lot and believe that he could def. help our national team in the future if he gets the right development (Germany etc.). I have also have seen Jay play out in Lancaster I believe with the u17's and was impressed with him as well. At this point, I might try to track Clarhaut down myself by e-mail or something to see how his situation is panning out.
He's just not your slave, that's all. Thanks for taking the initiative to track down some information yourself.
Ha. Listen, I was not trying to make him be my slave. It's just he has a lot of information on this subject and I also thought It would interest him that's all.
Newportbeach is right your making an unfair characterization, im pretty sure Dave can speak to himself
I have learned that Robbie was injured about 1 week before his trial was set with Bayern. He has now fully recovered and is back in training as is set to go to Europe in September.
A lot of the BIG euro clubs are actively looking for young players in the USA.. they have only two questions........ 1)...can the kid play....? 2)...were either of his parents born in europe...? without a positive answer to both questions it is very hard for any young American to get a serious look with a BIG club in europe.... let me know of any young players who fit the bill....and who are not currently attached in europe....
Are these for trials? or is he just going to train and wait until he turns 18 to sign? Does anyone know if there are requirments to play in holland? -I dont think so but im not 100%-I know the 21 or 22 year old Brazilann central defender Alex was signed by Chelsea and because he was not able to obtain a work permitt yet, they sent him to Holland (PSV) to develop his game against better competition than the Brazial league. And Germany you have to be 18 right?
