It looks like Pia told them to aim at Bindon. Most of our shots have went directly to her.

Is there doubt about if the ball crossed the line?

85' 0-1 The "upset" isn't so much that NZ scored a goal -- it's that they stood up to us toe-to-toe, didn't concede anything, kept going forward, and looked overall solid and pretty good throughout.

87' 1-1 USA right throw-in, one-touch up right touch to #15 Rapinoe sneaking behind the end. Rapinoe to 4m right corner, crosses high far post -- #13 Morgan leaps akimbo at 7m left post, heads it -- off the inside of the left post face-high, deflects inward over the line, to #1 Bindon's chest, she pushes it out. Delayed call, Morgan pleads -- AR gives it.

Does this feel like a NBA game where it doesn't actually begin until the end of the fourth quarter?

I thought so. It was hard to tell from the angle we had (plus the fuzzy feed). Bindon was standing inside the goal and did appear to reach sideways to grab the ball, but unless we have another angle, I couldn't truly tell.

88' 1-1 USA surges to 18m box top, surrounded. #13 Morgan breaks free, drives hard across box top to arc left, shoots hard at box top left post -- just curls the wrong way, <1 diameter and dents the endboard.

90' 1-1 USA through box top left, scuffed shot/cross deflects behind #20 Wambach, wrong-foots her. USA gathers wide right, chips to 15m box top center -- #7 Boxx frog-lunge header, off the crossbar and over.

Frenzied finish in New Zealand's 1/3. They're not pushing up any more :)

Posts like this are what makes it hard for anyone to take you seriously at all or find you unbiased...

Stupid, tired over-rated Morgan with her second goal!

Morgan, with absolutely 0 left in the tank, with the 2nd goal. How does she do it?

Morgan looks sooooooo worn out, outhustling, outmuscling the defender to put the ball in for the probable winner. Against a fresh defense, she drew a penalty kick in the first half. I know she's no Christen Press, but that's pretty darn good.:p

    Bench her! :p

But the insertion of Rapinoe was definitely the game changer. Again.

90+2' 2-1 USA crosses high from box top left, #20 Wambach leaping-heads while falling backward, no power, pop-up drops to 6-top left post -- #13 Alex Morgan is in a 1-v-1 arm-fencing duel, another awkward under-duress squatting-jump, mis-hit header glances wide right as #1 Bindon is utterly frozen by threat-of-driven power (which would undoubtedly have blasted her right in the basket) :D Topspin bounce redirects ball just inside the right post and gently up into the side netting!

1st goal was robbery. why no replays from multiple angles? they gave the 22000 a WIN. what else you want?

    Morgan! Morgan! Morgan!

Ok, I think she should be a starter now. Seems like they played better with Lloyd and Boxx out, but by then maybe they had worn down NZ.

haha, well that was a fun finish.

I really like watching leroux. she's a killer out there.
Abby finally did something after 93 minutes! and i thank her for it.

Arod played great. So did Morgan. Rapinoe was a good second half spark, def.
Lori L really settled everything down though. she had some great passes...

Abby, Boxx, Buehler, Amy L all looked slow today.

The anouncer said it went over the line and GK pulled it back over the line in mid air. but hard to tell from the feed.
