Just want to check - what time is the US vs. Honduras game on out here.

The US Soccer website says: Same-Day Delay on Telemundo (11:30 p.m. ET & PT). Does this mean we can only watch at 11:30pm Tape Delay for this 4:30pm PT Kickoff?

Yes, that's apparently what it means. Unlike US/Mexico, this match isn't on the Fox Sports World schedule for next week. Whatever, just a friendly.

If you have satellite HDTV or access to it, the match will be presented live at 4:30 pm on HDNet, with several repeats. See HDNet Schedule .

Here is a web site that I've found to be invaluable to figuring when games are on. This link is for US soccer (MLS, USL, MNT, WNT):

    http://www.soccertv.com/us.cfm

If you hit soccer TV at the top to go to the home page and scroll all the way down they have listings for TV times of soccer games from all over the world.

I'll call Ricky's before weeks' end to see if they will have it. I want to see this one live!

    update:
They said "yes" before I even finished asking. This is the place to be!
4:30 pm on next Wednesday folks

Anyone hear of any place in the South Bay showing the game? What about the Brit in Cupertino?

    Nada.
None of the Brits has HDNet. Ricky's is one of two places in the Bay Area having the channel and it's the only one that's soccer friendly.

    Interesting aside:
The Brazil vs Argentina WC qualifier starts at 5:30 or so on June 2. It will probably be shown at Ricky's as well.

Good catch. I just checked the US Soccer website and they have updated their site with this info also. Yeah! Now, where is everyone watching the game?

DishTV's guide doesn't show it yet. That doesn't mean a lot.

I saw the FSW ad myself this weekend .

I'd love to know what the dealings were behind the scenes to get this broadcast done with such little time to spare.

I still might go to Ricky's to watch depending on how much of a cover they're charging for the Brazil/Argentina game.

Did we find out if there is a cover at Ricky's?
Is anyone actually going to show up? I'd like to watch with a group.

Ricky's works for me better than home in fact because I work in Hayward but live in Berkeley, I could get to Ricky's faster from work.

$20 cover for the Brazil/Argentina game at Ricky's

The woman also told me that they're not showing the US/Hondo game now. (probably because of that WC qualifier game and it's cover)

Since it's on Fox Sports World now, the places to watch just increased. If you can't see it at home in the East Bay. I'd suggest the Englander in San Leandro. I'd call ahead to make sure (click on the link for that info).

As for me, I'm gonna watch it at home now. I'd rather not pay a $20 cover.

Exactly I already almost pay $15.00/month for GolTV, so I might as well just watch it at home. TIVO the Brazil-Argentina game (because overall I could care less, but always like to have the chance of watching of watching Brazil possibly loose) and take of early from work to watch the USA game live.

For thoes of you w/o FSW (if there are any) they are advertising it in channel 18 in SF, which I think is Telemundo to be played at 11:30PM PST

Is the Brazil/Argentina game going to be on free TV, perhaps tape-delayed? That would be fun to watch but I don't care enough to go to a bar to see it.

As far as I know it's just on GolTV & closed circut and now that I went to the site it has the game on GolTV listed as:

    Viernes - Jun. 04 - Friday
05.00PM Gol Premium ELIMINATORIAS: Brasil x Argentina (Dif)

So the only tape delay there is is actually on GolTV on Friday at 5, and that is an extra pay channel for Comcast. The only live showing is on DISH Network Closed Circuit TV (dish2006.com, 1-888-897-8181).

Brazil vs. Chile is only available on Circuito Cerrado (Closed-circuit TV - 1-888-868-8949 or 1-305-248-9373) & PROSTAR - closed-circuit TV (1-281-240-1399).

Anyone know about Euro '04 viewing in SF or the Bay Area. Been trying to figure out where I can watch some of the games (Italy & England mostly) Sorry to get of the subject.

It won't be live on free TV.

In my latest SoccerTV mailing there was something posted about a free TV tape delayed broadcast of a certain S.A. WC qualifier on Telemundo or Univision, I don't recall which. However the match, as well as the date and time of the broadcast could not be announced until after kick-off.

Almost every soccer-friendly place in the Bay Area is showing these games, but because it's PPV, expect to pay a cover.

This would be a good idea for a new stickied thread. Cover charge comparisions could be used to find the cheapest pub (kinda like gas prices).:)

Just a comment on the game: Damn, that Raindoor Guevara is a punk-a-hole! He seems to be obsessed with proving to us what a jerk he is. Sheesh.
