I'm looking for a torrent of the US vs. Germany World Cup match...preferrably in dvd format.

If anyone knows where I can get it I'd appreciate it! Thanks

I can't give you the technical terms, but basically it allows you to share peer-to-peer with others. In this case it's a video of the US v Mexico game. You can connect to multiple sources using something called a client. While you download a copy for yoursef from others, you also share what you have already been downloading.

Whatever it is, apparently it doesn't work for a Mac.

Same here. In addition, I am wishing for the USA-Portugal World Cup match also.

Wouldn't it be great if there is a BiTtorrent Collection of USA and MLS great matches (similar to this site)

I can imagine what a website would look like

    USA-Germany WC02 Seeds -100 Clients -200 Finished Downloads-10,000
    USA-Mexico WC02 Seeds -80 Clients -300 Finished Downloads -12,000
    USA-Portugal
Metrostars at Quakes May 8th, 04
    USA-Brazil WC94
    USA-Korea WC02
    USA-Columbia WC94
    Galaxy @ Quakes 03 playoffs

It looks like we need better organization to make this dream a reality. Anime bittorrent is way ahead of the curve.
Just look at Naruto 81 (a very popular anime series) It has Seeds: 106 Clients: 217 Finished Downloads: 59331

And there are hundreds of site similar to that one dedicated to anime. If there is just one for US soccer, it would be fantastic.

Oh, you can click here to download Thiery Henry's first 100 goals among other bittorrents.

Go here to see what I'm talking about:

    http://a.scarywater.net

It has around 70 affiliated sites. You will be amazed at how organized and how large that organization is.

    Statistics
In total, 21,572,847 completed transfers and 5.77PiB have been tracked so far. (Yesterday saw 110,056 / 32.36TiB, and today is already up to 14119 / 4.25TiB).

Right now, ~38,607 clients are on the tracker, 10,344 of which seeds, the rest (28,263) downloaders ... At its peak, the tracker serviced 54,741 concurrent clients.

Yesterday, 110,056 complete transfers. Come on Big Soccer community, let's create one (just one site). There is also a little thing call donate through paypal to help you financially with internet space. If I am computer savy, I would create such a site already, but my skill is as good as a middle school kid when it comes to the internet. It would be great if classic USA, MLS, A-league matches can be distributed to soccer fans similar to the anime community's distribution. Oh, and DVD quality like them too.

P.S. Anyone up for the task?
The Mexico-USA 04 friendly bittorrent was a success. But we need to expand and improve upon it.

I just thought of something. An idea, though not too bright. Maybe the Big Soccer community can form a partnership (or more like a sharing) with scarywater.net where they allow us to put up our own site like they do with
    http://a.scarywater.net/aone/
    http://a.scarywater.net/naruto/
    http://a.scarywater.net/animeforever/
    etcccc...

    we can name it http://a.scarywater.net/bigsoccer

In exchange, we can donate some $$$ for funding of bandwidth, internet space or whatever.

Here's a look at their current donations (total of $3505.24)
    http://a.scarywater.net/donations.shtml

Maybe $100 could go a long way.
