Is "drinking a yard" unique to the States?

    Isn't everywhere else Metric?

    hmmm...

Bump. I'm there for this one. I found Ben's to be a great place to watch the World Cup matches. Anyone know if they'll be doing Burn away games this year?

Will there be a cover charge?

    Nobody knows at this point.
For this event there will be no cover. The game is on ESPN2.

I thought a man in a kilt might answer this...

Then again, you give him an inch, he'll take a yard!

When I did my term in England, I drank yards competitivly. Sir Cyril and Sir Tyrell Cripps Hall Drinking Team, champions of the University of Nottingham.

Starts before noon, eh? Usually not up by then.
When will the open the taps?

I usually drink and then fall asleep in the yard.

Well, then maybe you should stay up all nite Friday, go to the Watching Party, and then fall asleep in Ben's parking lot.

But you should try and sleep somewhere away from moving vehicles.

    Just a thought.

They opened up the taps at around 6 or 7 this past summer for the World Cup games. Good ol' vodka tonics hit the spot even at that time of the morning.

Thumbs up to the Inferno's 'crest' or insigna or whatever the hell you call it. The Burn should use that logo as their own.

I don't think it's gone thru many changes over the years. We're looking at putting the Burn horse and a Dragon to it's sides... make it even 'more' of a 'European looking crest'.

Sight for sore eyes. I used to live in Dallas and go to Ben's on Wednesday nights for Bloodsport Trivia, geek that I am. Damn good times up there.

    Oy!

Tis still a good time, no matter what time of day (as we figgered at the Watching Party)...

I hope we still have some Watching Parties ahead at Ben's... I'd miss it if we didn't tilt a yard or two in the future!

    Cheers!
