Same here. I was there four years ago and it was fine. Nothing fancy, but close to the pub where we will be meeting. I realized last time that it is way more important to be close to the gathering spots than to the stadium.
Hampton Inn on North High St...right by the arena district...$5 cab ride to the pubs further downtown, 7 miles from the airport, and 3.25 miles from the stadium.
I'm staying at the Holiday Inn Downtown Capital Square. It's listed on google maps as a 20 min. walk to Claddagh's. My flight arrives on Tuesday evening so I guess the activities at the pub will just be beginning or in full swing. Can't wait.
I'm staying at the Comfort Suites 1690 Clara St I-71, Exit 111 I've never been there before so I had to google earth it. Looks like I can walk to the stadium from there...right? Only about a mile or so.
This hotel is right across the street from Crew Stadium. Once you cross 17th Street the rest of the walk is through the parking lot.
Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Columbus Airport2900 Airport Drive Columbus, OH 43219 Bringing the whole family (wife, 6 yr old and 18 mo) and flying out early on Thursday so we needed to stay close to the airport. Counting the days!
Hyatt On Capitol Square last cycle the team stayed there (as did my friends and I). plenty of autographs to be had.
Thanks: ended up at Clairmont Inn, right across from Claddagh. FYI, if folks haven't checked in with American Outlaws supporters group, they're going to be marching to the stadium from a bar closer a few miles up from the Claddagh. Info: http://www.theamericanoutlaws.com/content/view/119/28/
Claddagh and Drury are on opposite ends of downtown. you'll want to get together with other people staying there and share a taxi. or, i would even ask the hotel if they have a van that can drop you off (and maybe just taxi it back).
