$20 each? Seems a bit much..id pay 20-30 to get all the US games, but not $60 for all three. It's just U20 qualys, why does this cost so much?
It is in line with how much they have charged for previous youth tournaments. The price level may indicate the small niche audiance they hope to attract. Andy
Just seems it might be possible if they made some kind of package deal for all the US game or all the tournament games. Better than nothing I guess, just wont be seeing them all.
The really sad part about this is that you can get tickets to the games for less than that. I think you can get the best seats to all three games for about $40. I may be a little confused, but I am not off by much.
I'm hoping that Sportsnet (in Canada) will be picking up the Canadian games. $20 American seems a little much...
DISH is screwing up again!! Why are they are not carrying the U-20's??? After they totally botched the MLS Shootout Package, I am shocked they continue to ignore the hardcore soccer fan. Anyone have DIRECT TV's phone number?
Any chance these could be packaged at a lower price? I think if they lowered it a little a lot more people would pay up. I'm not sure I want to pay 20 bucks to watch us beat up on Haiti.
I just don't know how many people will do this. A Youth tournament for $20 a pop? Baseball is supposed to be America's pasttime, but I bet you wouldn't get too many people paying $20 each for a little league world series game. I wish there was just an uber package option out there. All the soccer you can take for say $300 a year. Get 3 channels on a digital system sewn up... Get rights to the best leagues. I actually would pay $300 for that. I actually think a soccernut subscription network could work. ESPN and FOX are probably not paying that much for European games. Cash from a subscription network that could grow as the sport grows here, might be attractive to the EPL, Serie A, and La Liga. $60 for 3 amateur tournaments is downright silly unless you are a parent of one of the kids.
