Hasn't this always been the standard for blood donations? I really don't see a problem here. No matter the circumstance, gay men ARE at a higher risk for AIDS than straight men. And what makes it different from the blood donations is that I haven't heard about any shortage of anonymous sperm donors. Granted, I don't really keep up with that, but there's a sperm bank near most college campuses willing to pay guys to jack off, so I can't imagine there's a shortage.
Yeah, I want to see which of you sensitive guys steps up first to volunteer to have gay sperm put up in your wife.
Every sperm is sacred. Every sperm is great. If a sperm gets wasted, God gets quite irate . . . Btw, I can't give blood because I lived in England for more than 3 months in 1996. I've never tried to donate sperm, so I don't know if I would be barred from that as well. Of course, I didn't know you get paid for it.
No, no proof yet. Although you have quite a few scientists trying to stake their claim on that gay gene.
I don't know how much they give you, but it is a popular activity for college kids who gambled away all of daddy's money. But from what I understand, it does take some discipline to make a living off jerking off. They expect you to maintain a high sperm count, so drinking, smoking pot and regular sexual activities (solo or otherwise) are out. So it's a catch-22 for most students; they need money to party, but if they party, they can't make money donating sperm.
Given the genetic component in gayness, what the hell is the problem??? Gringo is 110% correct, and I'd rep him if I could. Geez, some of you people need to spend some time in the world.
So where am I suppose to go for help if my wife and I want a gay son? I mean, what parent wouldn't want a kid that is constantly cleaning his room, hangs out with all the pretty girls, isn't afraid to go shopping with his mother before the start of each school year, and can help me redocorate my tool shed in the most attractive, yet practical manner? Who are you to decide that we can't have the gay son we've always wanted?
I agree with afl. The government shouldn't ban it. A "This sperm may cause gay baby in pregnant women" sticker on the test tube should be enough.
Don't you guys think that if gayness was hereditary that it would die out pretty quickly? Since the percentage of gay men that breed is pretty darn low. If there's a genetic component to homosexuality it's a lot more complicated than getting a gay gene or not getting a gay gene. More like a mutation than an inherited feature.
I tried adopting Rip Taylor twice before and was denied both times. He did throw us a nice confetti shower for our efforts, though, which was nice.
