Born in this country makes her British, as was her father (George VI), and her grandfather (George V), and her great-grandfather (Edward VII) and great-great Grandmother (Queen Victoria). Unlike many Americans, being German/Italian/Irish etc etc, 4+ times removed, does not make you a representative of that given country from whence your forefathers came. And I agree, the part about 'God' saving the Queen, is a little outdated, however 'tax-payer' doesn't scan as nicely.
