I don't get it...the WC games in which the US played posted the largest overnight viewer numbers for ESPN...EVER!!!

Now they play two big summer tournaments and they are barely being covered. The warm up games will be getting mroe coverage!

The Confederations Cup in France is on Univision (for those of us with cable, this is a non-issue).

The Gold Cup will have coverage, but nothing mentioned for the games beyond the opening round.

Maybe I'm missing something, but shouldn't these guys be getting more coverage?

Depending on where you live as to whether you get UNivision on cable... I am in Mississippi and I only get FSW so.

    thanks

world cup gets respect... gold cup and confed cup don't

why pay money for something that won't get the ratings?

I don't get Univision or FSW and thats not fair. Will our team actually be going to France? Since they helped Iraq and have been completely AntiUSA?

Yeah, because it's a FIFA tournament, not a France tournament. They'd be stupid not to go. It's soccer, not politics.

Well, I hear what most of you are saying, but it's not like it's the Gold Cup. Don't get me wrong, a lot of respectable teams will play in that tournament.

But when you're talking about France, Brazil and other top national teams from their respective regions/continent, what gives?! Sure, it's no WC, but other than the European Cup, this is as good as it gets!

I haven't checked into it, bt maybe it will be on pay-per-view. At least at $20 I will get to see our team play!

I wonder if FSW or ESPN will show any Confederations Cup games tape delayed?

I hope FSW gets the Confed Cup, ESPN couldn't care, but I have a feeling it will be Setanta closed circuit PPV only....
