US Soccer TATTOOS

I remember in 06 someone who used to post here (or still does?) had a DTOM logo on his chest. If you search you may be able to find the pic.

 

Nothing yet. But I'm seriously considering one. The ONLY one I'd get would be the U.S. Soccer Crest from the shirt. I'm thinking on my calf.

 

In one of the other threads (I've lost track of them all by now) someone had the 13-part rattlesnake from the Revolutionary War era with the 13 colonies down the length of their forearm. Badass tattoo, and relevant at the very least.

I keep wanting to think about getting a US soccer tattoo of some sort, but the crest just makes me cringe. I wouldn't be able to put that on my body permanently. If I could come up with another image that's slightly less...well...dorky, I'd already have it on me. Maybe when the US wins the cup this time I'll tattoo the cup on my back draped in an American flag.

 

I've thought a lot about it and I like the DTOM as well as the snake wrapped around the soccer ball (I think it is a Nike logo). I'm haveing a hard time convincing myself to go get it done though...

 

If it weren't a Nike logo I'd already have it. But I don't want to be a walking Nike ad either.

Yeah, it's an annoying dilemma and one I've been struggling with for a while.

 

I have a US Soccer piece in mind that I'm going to get, hopefully before the end of the year or my friend moves in so that I'm not paying for two peoples rent - which ever comes first so I can gather the extra cash.

There ya go. The blue writing just says "United" on top, then "States of America" at the bottom. Its nice.

 

I actually went to the shop and took a picture. Here it is:

 

In the run up to 1994, on my left calf, I got the US badge as first worn on the kits. Today's badge but without the shield containing the stars on top and stripes below. I'd post a photo but I'm at work.

 

This is what I think the US Soccer shield should look like. It is based on the crest of the USA. Similar to how England wear the 3 lions from their nation's crest, we should be able to wear the eagle from our nation's crest.

Bedford Flag
This flag was present at the battle of Concord in April 19, 1775. It was carried by Nathaniel Page, a Bedford Minuteman. The Latin inscription "Vince Aut Morire" means "Conquer or Die". The arm emerging from the clouds represents the arm of God. The original can be seen at the Bedford Town Library.

 

I have the 1950 US logo tattooed on my chest above my heart.
