The Cunningham Experiment seems to be thankfully over.

  4. Really nice to see Buddle in there for this one. I would expect him to get a few minutes at the end of the game at least. Maybe the Kirovsky curse will finally end too.

I don't think Earnie is done with the Nats yet. I think he is a good shot to help the team through qualifying over the next two years. I have a hard time believing Earnie is done with the national team, and their has been nothing to suggest that this would be a "tribute" match.

Guess Garcia really impressed in Jamaica. Wonder if Arena has seen enough of Califf or is he just not up to snuff?

Also I agree with Davids that Earnie could help the nats over the next several years. Right now he and Donovan are probably our best options at A-Mid.

Kirovski. What has changed between now and last year when the WC02 squad was named. If he didnt make that squad, why on earth put him into the running for the 06 squad. Id rather see Twellman up top pairing up with McBride.

The '06 squad? Aren't we getting a bit ahead of ourselves? It's the '04 squad we need to concern ourselves with.

He was one of the alternates and is only 26.

But I'm with you too. Let's not give anyone any chances to make the team. Let's just send the same squad from '02. Frankie did great at left back, Sanneh will only be 36...

Why is Buddle in there and no Wolff or Twellmen. Cunningham isnt even in there...although i'll admit he hasn't showen much internationaly. Olsen isnt in the line-up and neither is Suarez or Califf who have both shown great skill in the back. But at least the Sasha experament seems to be over...i hope. Why didn't Arena make it a 23 man roster?

    Huh
He impressed with his energy and defensive ability. His ball skills were atrocious. Very surprised to see him get in.

Anyone know the Japanese Roster. I am going to the game and would like to know who the Nats are going to beat up in Seattle. I heard that Nakata was gonna be there. He should at least give the Japanese a fighting chance.

I second that. Even though Twellman should be given a serious look, his stats speak for themselves - not to mention how he scores them...some damn nice ones.

But, what in the HELL is Kirvoski on the team.
Arena has made some questionable decision before, but usually in the end making the right on. BUT this choice is just plain wrong. He should bring in Cory Gibbs, Twellman, even ADU! Anyone but Jovan - how many chances does this "never-have-been" get?

Earnie was done at the WC and hurt the team more than helped. I also don't get why he's getting the call.

I wouldnt go that far, he played decently, but it wont be around in '06... And I dont think his "leadership" is all that valuable to the young 'ins....
I just think it is a wasted opportunity to get someone else some valuable time unless you can see them in 4 years...

I know I'm missing something, but why all the Euro pean players? Why would their clubs release them? I'm guessing it's a FIFA friendlies day, but still....
