Stevie re-signed last year. He must be in the €1.5M range now. Bundesliga may not pay as well as the EPL but it does pay pretty darn well.

BTW, B-liga's new TV deal will pay each club roughly $35M for the next 3 years starting in 2,006-07 season, almost double of the previous contract.

PS. I believe Kirovski had invested a lot of money into the San Diego area real estate over the years. He should sell ASAP.

I know he's not technically a US player right now, but I bet Friedel is up there with Reyna/Keller...the guy's been abroad since what, '97 or '98? And an EPL keeper of the year, too.

I thought it was pretty funny. You get the award for Big Soccer Crybaby. Seriously, get off people's cases about the typos.

Typos happen. Habitually misspelling is something else.

Like I said, just put me on your ignore list and be done with it.

While it's ok to hate on andymead it should also be noted that Strawberryfields is the worst poster on bigsoccer. I believe he/she is an English poster's sockpuppet created to make Americans look bad.

my andymead hate is more of a career-acheivement hate than this specific instance. just the first time I said anything.

    lighten up, andy!

It doesn't. Andy Mead just likes to seem "smarter" than everyone else. He doesn't tolerate "intellectual laziness." This is an analysis forum, after all.

I second that. While Strawberry Fields may suck, maybe Andy Mead could put him/her/whatever on his ignore list? It seems like he could take his own advice in this instance. Maybe?

I just pissed myself laughing. Maybe if Landon didn't choose his comfy lifestyle in the US and like being the big fish in the little pond. Hell, at this rate Bobby Convey will blow by LD in the next year.

possibly, but don't confuse a player's quality with the size of their paycheck. otherwise, england would win more titles than they do.

By no means was I saying BC was better than LD. But BC is due a new contract at the end of the season and the club has already said they will take care of him. If the win promotion he will be far better taken care of than LD will ever be in MLS.

I don't think Friedel is rich enough, he got paid only 4M for four years by Blackburn.
