Two days rest for this one, expect a fully reserve side to go out against Orlando some starters on the bench. Orlando is on top of the USL Pro division at 7-0-2 so far this season. They'll play their 4th game in 8 days. They beat the Athletics, drew with LA, and beat Charlotte. Still they'll be up for this game. This game 100% worries me a lot. This game has Richmond written all over it. I actually think we're going lose this one.
Orlando City definitely appear to be a team wanting to prove they belong in MLS. (They're also getting a friendly against Stoke this summer.) Too bad we ended up using Sapong, Bunbury, and Kamara against SJ now none of them would likely be able to start this game. Normally I like attending these kind of games just to see different opponents and players, but after witnessing the Richmond debacle last year, I'm not so sure.
One thing to remember about the open cup, we're only allowed 5 internationals on the game day roster. That shouldn't be a huge problem for us. Aiyegbusi if he can go will be one, Joseph will be one, as will Dwyer, Nagamura, and then probably Nielsen if Vermes doesn't feel comfortable putting Kronberg on the bench.
So for those of us unable to attend tomorrow, will this be online anywhere? I have heard rumors of a feed but not sure where.
The release that the team put out today said that those that could not attend could follow the team's match day twitter, no mention of a stream.
This one scares the piss out of me as well. I just hope they put the strongest defensive unit they can in front of Kempin, as I'm not as worried about Dwyer and Saad scoring goals.
Finally get to make a game again, and it will be fun to see some of the guys that aren't on the field most nights. I was also one in attendance for richmond, so can't help but worry about this a bit.
I wasn't, sick that night, so I reckon that's the reason we lost. The team does historically well with me in attendance.
I'm doing the Victory Suite for this one. So I won't be in the section. I figure if we lose, the free booze will even out the experience for me.
I am saving it for a weekend game... the free booze will make it very hard to go to work the next day . I did the field level once. The unlimited amount of Crown Royal put me under... Have Fun
http://www.kansascity.com/2012/05/28/3631053/sporting-kc-prepares-for-us-open.html At least the guys are saying the right thing about the game tomorrow. We'll see how many first teamers actually start, I still don't expect many.
I'll be excited to see the Starting XI PV puts on the field. Looks like good weather for the game. And, from the looks of it we should have a decent crowd.
I could be totally wrong, but I don't think they'll do it for a Friday or Saturday game. Most likely for a Sunday or weekday game. I think the friendlies are a possibility.
Will there be a video feed or anything online for those of us who can't make it? I checked the KC website but couldn't find anything.
Well we put together seven straight games in MLS play, let's put together five straight in USOC... But really, this game scares me too.
Looks like I'm not gonna make it out tonight after all, any one need a Members Stand ticket? Free to a good home.
A confident bunch. Apparently, when Floridians aren't high and eating each others faces, they're high on soccer.
