So, is this going to happen again? If nobody is slated to do it, I'll conduct it.

But I think somebody is ...

    Just let me know.

Since my evil overlord overlooked me in the MLS attendance thread, I'll try to get in on this.

Allied SC 2:2 Cape Cod -- Cape Cod advance in PK's

Edit: Hey, just saw Jefbal picked same as me. Great minds think alike. (But I'll say PK's end 5-4 for Cape Cod. ;) )

We need the rest of your first round picks, gilmore. You don't want to go 1 for 8, do you?

On the topic of predictions, anybody want to predict the second round sites and conditional matchups before USSF announces them, i.e., predict what USSF is going to announce about the second round?

Taking a glance at usopencup.com, the 8 teams joining in Round 2 will be:
Charleston Battery, Miami FC, Minnesota Thunder, Virginia Beach Mariners, Charlotte Eagles, Richmond Kickers, New Hampshire Phantoms, Cincinnati Kings

Minnesota is the furthest west. Will the winners of the two western match-ups in Round 1 simply play each other in Round 2, or will a couple of teams be forced to make some cross-country trips?

I have no clue who's going to play who, but I think its safe to predict that the Virginia/Carolina region will get multiple games.

I'll also predict a home game for Des Moines. How about Cincinnati at DesMoines.

Miami should be an attractive road opponent. How about Miami at Richmond Kickers?

    Flyin Ryan - 4 pts. (2-0)

He is, except Cape Cod is at Carolina, so the order should be reversed there.

I know very little about these teams, however, I have done a little homework and since I am close to those affiliated with the Arizona Sahuaros I do have a little bias. Here are my picks for what they are worth!

    Pittsburgh 1:2 Michigan
    Carolina 5:1 Cape Cod
    VA Beach 0:3 Wilmington
    Dallas Roma 4:1 Laredo
    Dallas Mustang 0:4 Des Moines
    Milford 0:2 Chicago Lightning
    Brigham Young 1:3 Arizona
    Ogden 1:2 Sonoma

FYI, BYU is going to be tired on Wednesday. They fly into Phoenix at 3:00 p.m. prior to a 7:30 start after teaching at their youth soccer camp that morning.

    GO SAHUAROS!
