Yep. Go Crusaders. I'd love to see another game at the SoccerPlex. I had a blast the time I went.

Should the US Open Cup thread get a sticky?

No doubt. I missed the u-23 game at the Soccerplex because i had business that week out on the west coast. I would love to catch a game there this go around.

Just as an FYI, rumor around Richmond is that the game would actually be at University of Richmond Stadium instead of Sportsbackers.

I say YES! the cup needs more respect/attention from its own MLS fans... though i'd consider DCU fans to do this all ready - fans in all mls teams should get hyped over this one. Why? I don't know. Tradition, suspense, upsests... the whole enchilada.

I'm definitely one who agrees that we supporters need to get out to these cup matches. I know MLS doesn't promote them well and the media barely covers them, but that will come with time if we continue to get out there.

Come on Crusaders, we need a local Cup match.

The USOC deserves more respect. But making this thread a sticky will just get it ignored.

Is this a new super hero? What's their mascot look like?

Soccerplex is nice, but a massive pain in the butt to get to. And the cops that patrol that little park across the street seem to be on to us. So I actually wouldn't mind going to Richmond.

Mike, you're my neighbor and I never even knew! I should carpool with your or something, instead of riding to lot 8 on the stinky metro :(

But yeah, Im hoping I get to see United at the soccerplex, sooo close to home for me.

Dude, I live in Takoma Park. I work on Washingtonian Blvd, which is right off 370. Do you know it?

We'd be better of having lunch together than carpooling to RFK. ;)

Yeah, my mom's place is right off off of washingtonian blvd! Oakwood apartments... I take 370 to shady grove metro on gamedays to hop on the train ;) We should do lunch sometime or something.

Well, I might've embelished the truth just a LITTLE.

My dads apt. is approx 2-3 miles from the soccerplex...so i CAN walk, but I would most definatley drive. It'd take me about 2 days to walk home from the soccerplex after a normal BB tailgate ... :p

Well it could still be used as a 'home base' sort of place though, for sure. Or a post-post game tailgate or something ;)

Although, last time I set off bottlerockets in our parking lot there security looked for me for the next 2 hours :/

I've enjoyed the games out at the Soccerplex and I'll certainly go if the Crusaders advance, but a day out in Richmond can be quite good. Plus the bars are better near the Kickers than near the Soccerplex.

    It's all about priorities really.
