US national team question

    Does anybody know who the USA played against in a 1991 friendly in Philadelphia? I was at that match
    and could not remember if they played England or not.. Recently i read an article in the Philly Inquirer talking about soccer in philly and mentioned that game..

    check the Sam's Army site or the FIFA site. They have a chronological listing of each team's history along with a city listing.

    actually found the answer doing some investigative
    work on the philadelphia inquirer's archives
    the US national team played newly promoted
    Sheffield Wednesday in August, 1991 in front 44,000
    people at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia.
    Shef Wed featured hometown player John Harkes..
    USA won 2-0

    wow 44k good crowd. lots of brits in the area or cause of harkes?

    philadelphia is a pretty good soccer town,
    also there was alot of brits there at the vet
    that night
