The Columbus Crew have agreed to sell specially priced tickets to Sam's Army and USA Supporters and other US supporters who would like to stand in section 137 for the US - Paraguay game (3 PM ET) on Sunday, July 6th.

Supporter's section seats will be sold for $16 (save $4 off regular price) through the following person:

    Brandon Wilmoth
    (614) 447-4176 (direct line)
    bwilmoth@mlsnet.com

If you want to stand during the game, and support the US with other supporters, you must contact him. Ticketmaster will not be able to offer anyone the same deal.

Contact Brandon via e-mail or phone to order and pay for your tickets.

    Good point to bring up.

    Yes it is.

    From www.sam-army.com:

GENERAL ADMISSION- Despite there being a row and seat number on your ticket, the Sam's Army sections tend to be a General Admission area which allows people to move freely. If someone asks you for their exact seat, let them have it. If YOU are the person who demands to have their exact seat, then please reconsider coming into the section in the future. Also, try to let kids who cannot see get to the front, but please leave the first few rows free for home town season ticket holders.

someone will correct me, i'm sure, but I believe club gear (shirts, scarves, etc.) is generally frowned upon at USA games.

After reading the travllers guide to soccer i found these 2 bars. are we gonna do any pre-post match stuff?

    Cazzies/Arlington Café
    1975 Henderson Rd
    (614) 538-0008
The official away game party location for the Crew is on Henderson Road near the suburbs of Dublin and Upper Arlington. A quality bar in the American Sports Bar vein, they also feature a full bar menu with excellent pizza and a room full of pool tables for those who like to shoot at the pockets. The management has made Crew and U.S. team fans all feel welcome and are great soccer supporters.

    Hagen's Ale and Tee
    460 S Front St
    (614) 464-3673
U.S. team supporters have made this location in Columbus's Brewery District a favorite for pre- and post-game celebrations. Hagen's was the gracious host of parties for Sam's Army for both the Costa Rica and
Mexico qualifiers, and was also the scene of a now-legendary raucous party after the Crew/Hamburg SV friendly, where Hamburg supporters showed Columbus fans a wonderful time in the German soccer tradition.

We'll discuss "extra-curriculars" later, probably internally, then spread the news once as it becomes finalized.

I always thought Krypto's pad was an "official" party place. :)

    Hotel in Columbus

I've stayed in this place several times cheap, clean and convenient. Very nice older ladies run the desk and last time there was some hottie running the bar (named Bethany). Close to brewery district and German Village (you have to go to Schmidts and get some sausage). Not close to stadium but if you've seen the area around the stadium you'll see that's not a bad thing. Easy on and off the highway.

The Columbus Youth Hostel has, unfortunately, closed. The young woman with the old dog no longer opens at 5 on the nose. K's recommendation looks good to me.

Just a quick reminder, if you haven't bought tickets for the Paraguay game yet, please get them through Brandon Wilmoth at the Crew's front offices.

He's got the really good deal $16 for tickets in section 137. Get them now, while they last.

Also, thought i'd pass this along.

if any of you are planning on being in Columbus the night before, the Crew are playing Dallas.

There's a "4 pack offer" for the Crew game. $58 gets you 4 tickets, 4 pepsi's, 4 ice creams, and 4 hot dogs.

    If anyone's interested, PM me.

for crew games, it's usually the week after you order, if the mail is going slowly or you live a long way away.

of course, this isn't a crew game, so i couldn't give an honest answer. if you ordered more than a week and a half ago, i'd call brandon.

i talked to him today and he said that they are kinda behind crew tickets as far as them going out in the mail so you might not get them until a few weeks before the game...but he said not to worry, that we would get them...

FINALLY got my two tickets today, fourth row behind the goal w/ the supporters, first nat'l team cap for me personally. I also would like to know just how many we're gonna have for this one. And I know my friend and I are planning on supplying alot, so I'll start spreading the word here and now: Bring streamers, let's make it look special after the anthem.

    Thanks.
