I really wonder what sort of soccer backround those people have. I've had long discussions with a bunch of people who play a variety of sports. We all came to the conclussion that women could only win against men in any sort of top-level sport that was pure skill. Things like bowling or archery. If anyone can come up with a counter-example, I'd love to hear it.
Yeah. Now that I've seen them play, and especially considering how well they did in the World Cup, I'm sold on them too, now. On a related note: the youth of America are starting to deeply trouble me.

Someone needs to tell these people that the USWNT scrimmages against U-16 boys' teams and doesn't always win... the U-17 national team should beat the USWNT at least 90% of the time.

Highschool boys teams have beaten the women's national team. I remember an U17 Long Island boys team beating them 3-0. The men would probably win by 10-15 goals.

Can you imagine Donovan, McBride, Friedel, Pope, Mathis, O'Brien, Reyna, etc. lining up against those bimbos. HA! HA! If they played seriously, they could probably win by 20 in a 90 minute span. There is no way they would get one by Friedel unless he tripped over himself.

HS experience with this This is always a great conversation to have with any female from the spice-girl-generation. I went to high school with two girls who were high school all-americans. They were both very talented and played very smart ball. Both went on to play in college and one plays in the WUSA now. Despite their dominance over other girls on a national scale, neither one would have made the JV squad at my school. They could play competatively with the freshman-sophomore squad, but that's where it ended.
Re: HS experience with this I think that is the same in every sport. In my school the top male volleyball player was awesome and 30 times better than the top female volleyball player. He could spike it 10 times harder that she could. Yet she was the talk of the school and she endend being the 1st draft pick in the PR volleyball league and was the 2nd best volleyball player in PR until unfortunately recently had a crash in her motorcycle after she was riding with her girlfriend.

Granted, then Mens' team could take the Womens', but calling them bimbos is a bit much. They are the world-class womens' national team and deserve respect. No man has or likely ever will score as many goals as Mia Hamm, who capped at 15 years old. Well, except Freddy Adu. For comparrison, leading up to the 98 Nagano Olympics my club's Midget AA Littleton Hockey Association Hawks team played the United States womens' team who went on to capture the gold. It was the best hockey game I've ever seen in my life. The Hawkes scored in the last 10 seconds to send it into an overtime, 5-5, where my math teacher's son scored the game winning goal in a shootout that came down to the wire.
