Nice Spanish-language article in light of all the xenophobia around these boards.

DJ's Mexican grandmother (originally from Jalisco, now a teacher near Sacramento) says that he wants to play for Chivas. For his own part, DJ says, "Guadalajara is a great city," and that "the people are very friendly, very hospitable. Obviously, once you get on the field, things change a bit."

Chivas has never put a foreigner on the field. He'll have to choose someone else. Screw the Goats, anyway. How about Pumas or Cruz Azul?

Seeing as he likes Guadalajara Atlas or UAG would be better choices.

Isn't DJ a quarter Mexican? I wonder if they would make an exception?

That article also says that he has another Grandparent who is of Mexican origin...
