For me, I agreed with starting Clark, but that obviously didn't work. I didn't agree with starting Findley, and that obviously didn't work either.

Let's try to keep this focused on today and not his tenure.

I'm sorry to say it, but the coaching was atrocious, and ultimately the core reason we lost. And there's no arguing that. The early subs prove it.

Off to MLS, Bob. Your lineup changes lost the game.

Can we get a top-quality coach now, please?

abysmal. This loss is 110% on the coach. shocking......just shocking. heartbreaking.

history repeats itself. Why did we start a player that cant even start for his club in MLS :(

with all due respect bob bradley, go F*** yourself and step down

Like someone said in the PbP thread, Bob makes all the right decisions after the game starts. His decision to start Findley in three games and Clark twice really hurt the team.

Our midfield was gassed by extra time because we had to waste two subs in the first 45 minutes. That's completely on Bob.

Our coach lost this game for us. The 2nd half line-up was our best line-up

We lost because of Bob and Howard.

Well, finally....finally....the topic of Bob is done. No more threads. No more cheap one liners. It's over. Finally.

Starting Rico and Findley will be unforgivable for me. I'll never be able to rate him without bias for those choices so I guess I won't say anything. It just sucks really badly.

Can't blame the coach. Blame the ref. That's the American way.

we played 4-4-2 with a useless striker and a def. midfielder with poor decision making capability. I wonder what went wrong?

That was me. It is a clear positive to make the right changes, and Bradley deserves credit for that. But at this level it's just not sufficient. You have to start the team of right. And Bradley has actually consistently failed in that regard. You can't keep giving up early goals and expect to come back. Because you can't expect that. Bradley is a solid second half coach. Unfortunately, there's always a first half ...

Horrible job putting the obvious players in the obvious positions to win games at the obvious time (that would be the start of the game).

    Preparation:
    • US 0:1 England - 4th minute
    • US 0:1 Slovenia - 13th minute
    • US 0:1 Ghana - 5th minute

At the end of the day, that is what did the US in.

Every time I heard Bradley or a US team member talk about the game starting with a "feeling out" period, I cringed. The US started games "feeling out" the opponents who started out intent on playing soccer from minute one.

The starting decisions here were stupid. The adjustments were good. You cannot, though, chase this Ghana team for 120 minutes after conceding an early goal.

The mental preparation at the beginning of each game was always going to be this team's undoing.

Great run, USA. Thanks for the memories.

    Quoted for truth.

Those early subs (though absolutely required in this case) might have killed us in the end.

I really dont see why Bob started Findley, even moreso than Clark. Findley is only good as a sub, his speed was nothing for a fresh Ghana team at the start of the game. Terrible. Terrible coaching by Bradley.

    No excuses for that crap.

It's just fascinating how much more of a threat we are to score when Dempsey is pushed forward, Feilhaber is creating in the middle, and Michael Bradley is allowed to roam forward into the attack. Why Bob never wants to start a match with that formation and tactic is beyond me.

There are probably four diffferent guys doing analysis for ABC who would have won this game.

    Clark didn't work out.

But people make it out to sound like Clark was a complete handicapped player like Timmy from South Park. He's not and he's been a pretty good player for us. A bit limited, but not bad.

Bob trusted a Bundesliga player not to make clumsey key turnover. He did.

I didn't think it was the dumbest move ever to start Clark this morning.

As for Dempsey up top. Go back and read the US-Turkey match threads to see how people thought about it then

I have nothing to say other than you put your trust in someone, and they fail miserably.

    Bye Bob.

No way he comes back. It's wasn't a great enough (although it was pretty good) run to earn a second cycle, and I don't think Sunil was ever really thrilled with him anyway.
