maybe, if we pool money together we could send about 30 ladies to the hotel that night. all is fair in love and war.
This website has some helpful info about getting to and from the stadium in Recife. http://www.pernambuconacopa.com.br/en/
Still awaiting AO's announcement. Bummer that the stadium is out in the middle of nowhere.....the meetup is sure to be in that vicinity in order to coordinate the march.
Welcome to CONCACAF, Germany. Now to go stomp all over the pitch in a rainstorm and then it will be about right.
Hey, I'll be in Recife from June 25th-30th... If anyone has any leads on places to stay or has extra space (floor is acceptable space) I'd love to chat. I'm 26 years old and work in the restaurant industry in Burlington, VT.
Has it been announced, or does anyone know, where the US team will be staying while in the northeast? I could be wrong, but I don't think they are flying back to the base in Sao Paulo once the games start.
they are flying back to their base between each game. more discussion here: http://forums.bigsoccer.com/threads/change-of-base-camp.1998002/
from the Showtime Sports profile of Jurgen, they have a shot of his whiteboard with travel schedule and it shows flying back to SP between each game, including for only 2 days 6-23 to 6-24 before the last Germany game.. i have a screen shot but i don't think i can directly upload here and not sure how to link to 3rd party site.. I think this travel is going to be a negative towards us advancing out of the group... Second question on Recife, has anyone found/researched good places to watch the games at? i know the day i arrive there are 2 games at 1pm i want to watch on TV, the England vs Costa Rica and Italy vs Uruguay last round games. I know from a horrible past experience during USA vs Algeria in Milan, Italy its not very common outside the USA for Pubs to have multiple TVs, Multiple feeds/different channels... So where is a good place to watch?
AO pregame party: Bar do Mundinho (Bar do Bode) 8:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Rodovia BR 408 São lourenço da mata , Recife Food and Drink available for purchase 15 min walk to stadium (1.5 KM) That stadium is way out there, so i'm glad the found a place in that area. A nice 15 minute march could be some needed excercise after a long 2 weeks.
So far we know 125 is a US supporters section, anyone else willing to share the sections they got in PMA?
Article on Recife. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/soccer/news/20140525/world-cup-recife-brazil-usa-germany/
We have one extra cat 1 ticket for pickup in Brazil, as well as a match 52 ticket in Recife. Anyone interested?
Hey there! I am 21 year old college student from Los Angeles. I will be in Recife on the 26th morning just in time for the USA/Germany game. Who wants to split some costs - cab fares, bus fares, and etc. I will be travelling to nearby cities as well if you would like to join. I can get some lodging or if you have an accommodation we can split it! PM me Ignatius
I've finally found our Recife version of Riker and Azevedof. @Mariana Sanchez De Bock (msdbock@gmail.com) was located in another Recife forum. She's already helped me tremendously on getting around the Metro (didn't even know they had one). Along with after the game transport and left luggage ideas. Use her. She's been great.
Good question. I am in Olinda from 23-25 of June and then heading to PdG - best way to get from Olinda to PdG anyone?
